Guests traveling from outside of California can fly in to San Luis Obispo County Regional (SBP) Airport via San Francisco, Los Angeles, Dallas-Fort Worth, Denver, Phoenix and Seattle. United, American and Alaska Airlines offer flights to and from SBP. Alternatively, you can fly in to SFO or LAX and drive along the scenic Pacific Coast Highway to San Luis Obispo. Highway 101 is the more efficient route (albeit significantly less scenic) and is typically a 3-4 hour drive to SLO during non-peak traffic. The Cliffs hotel offers a complimentary shuttle to and from the airport for guests. Please call them directly to arrange for pick up and drop off. Reservations are required.

Train

By Train

If you want to skip traffic on the road, taking the train to San Luis Obispo is a great alternative. There are trains that arrive at the Amtrak Station in downtown San Luis Obispo daily. For guests traveling from Southern California, the Pacific Surfliner has many stops, including San Diego, Oceanside, Irvine, and Los Angeles. The Pacific Surfliner offers a discounted fare for passengers with disabilities (and their travel companions), Veterans, students and seniors. For guests traveling from the SF Bay Area, the Coast Starlight's stops include Davis, Martinez, Oakland and San Jose. The Cliffs hotel offers a complimentary shuttle to and from the train station for guests. Please call them directly to arrange for pick up and drop off. Reservations are required.
