Although a little further away, this destination will not disappoint. One of our favorite places on earth! We have been visiting Downtown Truckee since we first fell in love. You'll find lots of great shops and food here. We highly recommend you stop by Sweets Handmade Candies for some local chocolate.
Fine Dinning At Elevation
Close and convenient to all guests staying at Northstar properties, Northstar has plenty of great restaurants to choose from! Whether you want a causal pizza place or an upscale dinner at the Ritz-Carlton, Northstar has you covered!
Kings Beach
If you want to spend some time at the lake, this is a great location! Plenty of fun shops and food options around the area.
North Lake Tahoe Activities

Martis Creek Trail
The Martis Valley Loop Trail has spectacular mountain views and is relatively flat for Tahoe. An easier hike for those who are looking to get outside and aren’t used to the altitude just yet.
Brockway Summit to Mount Baldy Loop
This scenic hike is among the most popular hikes in North Lake Tahoe. A hike on the more difficult side, we recommend it to those who have some experience hiking. The view from the rock overlook is spectacular! Start the hike before 10:00am on busy weekends to avoid the crowds and for parking. Bring water and of course your camera.
