We realize with the ever changing COVID world there may be some safety concerns. We want to share with you that Northstar is following local regulations for us to have a safe wedding. Our ceremony and cocktail hour will be 100% outside. The reception is in a large ski lodge with doors open to allow air flow. We will also be requiring a negative COVID test and masks for any unvaccinated individuals. If you would like to send us your vax card we would greatly appreciate it! We completely understand if you do not feel comfortable with these precautions and hope to celebrate with you sometime in the future!
NO!!! This will not be a reliable form of transportation. There is no Uber/Lyft in the Tahoe area. We highly recommend staying at one of the Northstar properties so you can either walk or take the shuttle to the wedding or if you are staying further away, driving to the wedding. The shuttle will be available until 1 AM the night of our wedding.
For anyone who is going to be driving to the wedding, there will be parking available. Put in driving directions to The Village at Northstar and street signage will instruct you to park in the upper parking lot/ “preferred parking”. From there, you will look for signs leading you to the Big Springs Express Gondola.
Guests can either walk, take the shuttle, or drive to The Village at Northstar depending on where you are staying. Once you arrive at Northstar Village follow signs to the Big Springs Express Gondola. If you are lost or need help, feel free to ask anyone in one of the restaurants or shops! It is a small area with maps located at each entry point.
Due to limited numbers, we hope you understand that children are only invited if named.
We strongly suggest all our guests book their accommodations ASAP! Tahoe & Northstar can get very busy during the summertime. Also, with COVID-19 affecting all 2020 weddings, this summer will be especially busy for Tahoe! Please refer to our travel page for lodging options.
Yes! Semi-Formal: Suits and cocktail dresses.
Northstar has an elevation of 6,330 ft and this increases to 8,000 ft for our wedding ceremony & reception! In order to avoid altitude sickness we suggest everyone drink tons of water and take it slow! By that we mean activity wise and with alcohol. The mountain views might make you feel invincible, but remember that there's less oxygen up where you are, and you might feel woozy with or without a drink, so please proceed with caution. We want all our guests to enjoy the entire night!
