Matron of Honor
Heather and Blair met on their first day in the "real world" during orientation for Accenture in September 2013. They quickly bonded over the next month of training, highlighted by a 2 week stay at the Q Center which can best be described as summer camp for adults. Heather and Blair also realized that they are in fact long lost twins - not just because they are both tall and blonde, but because they are always in sync and magically know what the other one is thinking pretty much all the time. Heather is the best hype woman and always has the perfect advice & guidance for any situation - Blair is so honored and excited to have her as her MOH!
Best Man
Connor ruined Bryan's chances at being an only child 28 years ago. He has never beaten Bryan in a foot race less than 400 meters on a track, down a hallway, or on any other surface. Connor will also tell you that he is a better athlete than Bryan, but that was due to a rigged competition that our parents put together years ago.
Bridesmaid
Brea is one of Blair's best friends from UVa and a member of the very exclusive KBB gang (Kate, Brea, & Blair). The 3 of them met and bonded over their shared love of sitting on the couch in the Pi Phi house watching reality TV (namely the Bachelor/Bachelorette) and were roommates again during their 4th year. You can always count on Brea to say yes to a last minute adventure - specifically she is the only person who would willingly fly Spirit Airlines from Florida to Minnesota for the NCAA Men's Basketball Championships and then bet the OVER for a game between two defensive powerhouses. If you like discussing sports betting strategies, Brea is your person!
Best Man
Mike is and always will be the youngest brother, and no matter how far his baseball career takes him he will never be able to claim that he got his older brother out on the diamond while pitching. Mike's command of the English language confirms that while he is only 7 years younger than Bryan, it is highly unlikely they are a part of the same generation.
Bridesmaid
As mentioned above, Kate is one of Blair's best friends from UVa and represents the K in the very exclusive KBB gang! Like Blair, Kate grew up in the Chicago suburbs - and yet they had to go all the way to Charlottesville to meet. Kate is an expert margarita maker & Tequila connoisseur and is the reason that margaritas (especially ones made with Mezcal) are Blair's favorite drink. Kate's sense of humor and one liners are some of the best - after spending time with her, you can always count on your face hurting from laughing so much. Kate & her husband, Jack, are also responsible for introducing Blair & Bryan to the highly addicting game of Monopoly Deal - caution: game may lead to heated exchanges amongst even the best of friends...
Groomsman
One of the most loyal friends a guy could ask for. Bryan could tell someone that the sky is green and Dan would be right there telling the person that they are blind if they don't agree. Roommates from college and Bryan's time in DC, Dan has only ever witnessed Bryan at his very best and never anything less than that. Their friendship has survived Bryan allegedly breaking Dan's finger on the club baseball practice diamond. It has never been confirmed that it was in fact Bryan's fault, depending on who you ask.
Bridesmaid
After Heather & Blair met and became friends, Heather made the best move ever and introduced Blair to all of her close friends from Northwestern, in particular her besties & roommates, Katie and Hayley (meet her in the intro below!) Katie is an absolute ray of sunshine and spending time with her always makes you feel warm & fuzzy inside. Katie is also a spectacular cook and gives new meaning to the phrase "hostess with the mostest" with the incredible parties she throws, especially her epic Flag Day party. You will most often find Blair and Katie swapping baking tips and sharing sports related tweets - look up "sad Northwestern fan" to see our favorite viral meme!
Groomsman
Alec is a friend who is wise beyond his years and the general sage of the group. Another roommate of Bryan's from college, Alec was the best involuntary designated driver to Rose's Deli on Friday afternoons after club baseball practice. He is always down for a run of pickup basketball, and his versatility on the offensive and defensive sides of the ball are unparalleled since he has the ability to both play and guard positions 1 through 5.
Bridesmaid
As mentioned above, Blair was introduced to Hayley through Heather and they bonded quickly over a shared love of cats and beer - the two greatest things in the world. Hayley and Blair can be found frequenting their gym, F45, together as well as exchanging cat pictures and TikToks about cats. (Are you sensing a theme yet?) They also share a love of all things Marvel, Broadway musicals and Jeremy Jordan. Hayley is an incredibly passionate & caring friend and is always down to get weird & have fun. She and her husband, Eric (one of Bryan's groomsmen!), have some of the best dance moves on the planet so you can count on them to be the first and last people on the dance floor at the wedding.
Groomsman
Joe Max was Bryan's freshman year roommate at Wake Forest. The first ever interaction they had was Joe Max asking Bryan what color and pattern his comforter was because he (read, his mom) wanted to make sure they weren't clashing. Joe Max marches to the beat of his own drum, evidenced by the fact that he wore all black to New York City's famed Santacon one year. It might have been the correct decision since he and Bryan went to an EDM concert later that night.
Bridesmaid
Katie is Bryan's younger sister and Blair's soon to be sister in law! Katie is the most badass and athletic member of the Willis family by far - her 3 much larger brothers will argue otherwise, but her back to back NCAA lacrosse national championships with Gettysburg puts Katie firmly in the top spot. Blair is so excited to have Katie as a sister and ally at all future Willis family events.
Groomsman
Sean is one of Bryan's cousins from the Tenney side of the family, and has essentially been a third brother from childhood. They have attended many different sports camps over the years such as the Canisius College basketball camp, golf camp, and the Duke basketball camp (Go Deacs!). There was an attempt at some point to try and have Bryan and Sean play on the same high school baseball team with Sean's dad as their coach, but Bryan's parents weren't thrilled at the prospect of Bryan living in Buffalo, NY for 9 months of the year so it never came to be.
Bridesmaid
Melissa is Blair's sister in law officially as of June 4 when Melissa and Ross FINALLY got married (thanks for the delay, COVID...), but it feels like she has been part of the family forever! Melissa's positive vibes and "down for anything" attitude always make Anstaett family gatherings more fun! Most importantly though, she keeps Ross in line which is no easy feat.
Groomsman
Ross is Bryan's future brother in law, and will claim that he is taller than Bryan. We will let you decide on the merits of that statement. Ross has the best working situation on planet earth, where he works West Coast mornings and East Coast afternoons while being located in Chicago. He has it figured out.
Bridesmaid
Leslie has been by Blair's side since kindergarten and now they're all grown up & Leslie is the best mom to the cutest baby girl, Sloan! Leslie has been a true friend from the beginning and agreed to exclusively eat Kraft Mac & Cheese (shapes only) during playdates growing up as that was the only food Blair ate at the time. Leslie and Blair can be found hanging out in the burbs together with their moms (who are rumored to actually spend more time together now than Leslie & Blair) and help the moms with all things rummage! Leslie is always down for a good time and if the first 20 years of friendship are any indication, the next 20 are going to be even better.
Groomsman
Eric is one of Bryan's first friends from Chicago, and is a core member of the golf foursome on weekends. On the course, it is highly unlikely that you will get past the third hole without multiple quotes from Caddyshack, Happy Gilmore, or Tin Cup. Eric is an electric factory on wedding dance floors so rest assured as soon as the band starts to play, Eric will be dancing for the rest of the night.
Bridesmaid
Blair and Barbara (also known as Babs) have been friends since they were randomly assigned to be desk mates in Ms. Opdycke's 5th grade class. They survived the awkward middle school days highlighted by Limited Too ensembles and way too many embarrassing selfies so you know that their friendship is the real deal. Even though Barbara now calls San Francisco home, she is still an avid supporter of rummage when she's in town and has spent many hours helping setup the somewhat creepy mannequins that call the French Room home. Babs is an incredibly loyal friend and an even more loyal Notre Dame fan, so hit her up if you're looking to sing ND's praises!
Groomsman
Kevin is another one of Bryan's friends from Chicago. A fellow Award Winning Listener, much to the chagrin of Blair's Matron of Honor/Kevin's wife, Heather, rarely does a conversation not involve the most recent episode of Pardon My Take. Kevin hasn't met an instrument he can't play, so if a member of our wedding band gets stuck in Chicago traffic he will be the hero of the night.
