Question

What is the dress code for the ceremony and reception?

Answer

Black-tie optional, please! Gentlemen - if you don't already have a tux, a dark suit is great. Ladies - floor length gown preferred.

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

Yes, there will be transportation for all guests (including those local to the Chicago area!) from the W City Center to Christ Church and then back to the W for the reception! Please meet the shuttles outside of the W (172 W. Adams, Chicago) at 2:20pm. The shuttles will have signs indicating they are for the Anstaett/Willis wedding. If you're unable to meet the shuttle schedule, we recommend Uber or a taxi as an alternative to get to Christ Church. Following the ceremony, shuttles will take all guests from Christ Church to the W City Center.

Question

I will be driving to the ceremony at Christ Church. Where should I park?

Answer

Christ Church is located at 784 Sheridan Road, Winnetka. On-street parking is available on Lloyd Place, Bryant Avenue and in the surrounding neighborhood. Humboldt Avenue will be closed to parking in order to accommodate guest buses arriving from Chicago. Humboldt Avenue will be one-way allowing only eastbound traffic. There is also a parking lot across the street from Christ Church at Lloyd Park located at 799 Sheridan Road. There is a crosswalk across Sheridan Road that links the parking lot to the church. Use caution when crossing Sheridan Road. There is a small, handicap accessible parking lot by the front door of the church. The entrance to this lot is at 784 Sheridan Road.

What are the parking options at the W City Center?

Answer

The W does not currently have valet parking, but they do recommend a self park garage nearby - Tower Garage (211 W. Adams). There are lots of parking garages in the area so feel free to also use an app like SpotHero to book a parking spot in any nearby garage.

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

We have room blocks reserved at the W City Center (where the reception is) and the JW Marriott, which is across the street from the W. See the Travel tab for links to book. If you'd like to stay elsewhere, Chicago has a plethora of hotels - if you want be located near the reception venue, look for hotels in the Loop or River North area. If you need any specific recommendations or help, please reach out to Blair or Bryan!

Are kids welcome?

Answer

While we love your little ones, our wedding is going to be an adults-only event so that everyone can relax and enjoy the evening. We appreciate you making arrangements ahead of time and leaving the kids at home so you can celebrate with us.

I want to get dinner near River Roast before the Welcome Party. Where should I go?

Answer

River Roast is located in the River North neighborhood which is jam packed with incredible dining options. There are too many great spots to list them all, but here are a few of our favorites: Lil' Ba-Ba-Reeba, RPM Italian, Quartino Ristorante, Torchio Pasta Bar, Bar Cargo, Beatrix, Tzuco We highly recommend making reservations at least a few weeks in advance wherever you choose to go!

I love beer. What are the best breweries in Chicago?

Answer

Chicago has SO many great breweries. A few of our favorites are: Metropolitan Brewing, Dovetail, Off Color Brewing, Half Acre Beer Company, Maplewood Brewing, Revolution Brewing, DryHop (their sister breweries, Corridor and Crushed by Giants, are both excellent as well!)
