How to get to Houston

For guests traveling from out of town, we recommend flying into either George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH) or William P. Hobby Airport (HOU) as they are about the same distance from our venue. Major airlines like American, United, Southwest, and JetBlue offer direct flights. For transportation, both airports have rental car centers and ride-share options. Reach out with any questions!

This is our recommended hotel. It is one block away from our reception venue. This hotel was recently renovated and has a nice restaurant and bar/lounge on the property. BLOCK PRICING The block price for standard rooms (king or double) is $199/night + tax. Corner suites are available at $299 + tax, upon request. Block pricing can be applied to single night stays. Block pricing can be applied to trips that extend 2 days prior to and/or following May 9-11. Please use the booking link to secure your reservation for May 9-11. Then, email our Sales Coordinator, Sarah Chase, Sarah.Chase@cbaldwinhotel.com to extend your booking dates, as availability allows. NOTES While we recommend utilizing ride shares to explore the city, if you are renting a car, consider parking it in a nearby garage as the valet charge at this hotel is $60/night (we tried to get this lowered for our guests but it is operated by a 3rd party). If you prefer a glass shower door to a shower curtain in a hotel room, make sure you book a king room. A courtesy car is available until 10pm for pickup and drop off within a 2 mile radius (pretty much anywhere downtown)

Courtyard Houston Heights/I-10

This hotel is a great option for those looking for a recently constructed, standard hotel at a lower price point. It is located in Houston Heights, one mile away from the church. BLOCK PRICING The block price for standard rooms (king or double) including onsite parking is $159/night + tax. Block pricing can be applied to extended stays based on availability by calling the front desk. Block pricing can be applied to single night stays. NOTES This hotel is located next to the freeway. If you’re a light sleeper, request an even numbered room upon booking. If you don’t mind the noise, request an odd numbered room for a skyline view. If you prefer a glass shower door to a shower curtain in a hotel room, make sure you book a king room. Amenities include an outdoor pool.

Airbnb

If you would like to rent a home for your stay, try staying in our neighborhood, Houston Heights! We recommend staying North of I-10 between N Shepherd St and Studewood St if you want to be close to the ceremony location as well as restaurants and shops! Other nice areas to stay in Houston include: The Museum District, West University or Memorial. Feel free to send us a link for what you’re planning on booking. Getting Around

Getting around Houston is easy and convenient! However, we will warn you that Houston drivers are aggressive on the highways. You have the option to rent a car from one of the many rental agencies at either airport. Alternatively, rideshare services like Uber and Lyft are widely available. Either option will get you where you want to go! Public transportation in Houston is limited and not something we recommend.
