Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Please arrive at the Church by 1:45pm. The ceremony will start promptly at 2pm.

Question

Is parking available at the ceremony and reception venues?

Answer

If you choose to drive, we ask that you drive responsibly. We recommend utilizing ride-shares. There is a parking lot at All Saints Church. The parking garage at the reception venue, The Julia Ideson Library, will be closed. Street parking and public parking garages can be found nearby in downtown. As a reminder, guests staying at the C. Baldwin are within walking distance (1 block) of the library.

Question

What should I do between the ceremony and the reception?

Answer

Between the ceremony and cocktail hour, relax with a drink or bite to eat near the church or downtown. Heights & Co or the Heights Mercantile Market are within one mile of the church. In downtown, stop in at the C. Baldwin Bar or Z on 23. Please do not plan to go directly to the reception venue after the ceremony as vendors will be setting up and the wedding party will be taking photos during that time.

Question

I have a food allergy, may I make a special request?

Answer

Please make note of your allergy or dietary restriction when you RSVP!

Question

What will the weather be like?

Answer

For Houston in May, expect highs in the 80s and lows in the 60s. All of our events will be held inside with the option to spend time outdoors if the weather is nice.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

We would love for our guests to get dressed up with us! The dress code is formal. We want you to wear something that you feel great in! Check out this article for more info: https://www.theknot.com/content/formal-wedding-attire If you’re like Mary, you like to know ahead of time what color the bridesmaids will be wearing. They will be in different shades/ patterns of light green. Don’t let that stop you from wearing a green dress! Wear what makes you feel your best!

Question

Are the Launch Party and Brunch only for out of town guests?

Answer

No! Each event was planned with all guests in mind. Everyone is welcome to come share a drink or some breakfast bites with us!

Question

Tell me more about the Launch Party

Answer

•The Mission• Come mingle with the crew the night before the wedding. Your first drink is on us! •Docking• Parking at the venue/ on the street nearby is limited and expensive. We recommend carpooling or utilizing a ride share. •Suiting Up• Come as you are! The bridal party will be somewhat dressed up (think cocktail dresses and suit jackets) but jeans or shorts are great too! We’ve reserved a room inside. If the weather is nice, there is also an outdoor patio at the venue. •Debrief• Your night doesn’t have to end there. Pop into one of the many bars on Emancipation St near True Anomaly. If you’re staying downtown, you can head over to Main Street for a night cap. If you’re staying in the Heights, check out the watering holes on White Oak. If you’re looking for live music, check out The Rustic on the edge of downtown.

Question

Tell me more about the brunch

Answer

Stop in for a bite to eat and some refreshments. We are so excited to host this at our new home. However, our home is not that big. So, feel free to come and go. We’ll have a spot to store your luggage, if needed.

Question

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

Yes, you can access our registry from our website. We’re registered at Zola, Crate and Barrel and Williams Sonoma.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

While we love your little ones, we ask that only those listed on the invitation plan to attend. Thank you for understanding.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

All invited guests will be listed on your invitation

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please RSVP on our website by April 5th.

Question

Just tell me where to eat

Answer

We consider ourselves amateur foodies. We stand behind these places: THE HOUSTON CLASSICS: •Truth BBQ• Order online to skip the line. •El Tiempo and Ninfa’s• Houston’s Tex-Mex Rivals. •Local Foods• Our favorite fast casual spot with several locations throughout the city. Don’t sleep on the Crispy Chicken Sandwich or the Vegan Banh Mi •Kolache Shoppe - Heights• Best stuffed breakfast sandwich/pastry in Houston. •The Pit Room• Best breakfast tacos. BEST OUTDOOR SEATING: •Candente• Tex-Mex spot that only accepts reservations for parties of 8 or more. Make sure you sit outside. •Tiny Boxwoods• Cutest garden lunch/brunch spot. OUR FAVORITES •Hugo’s• Chris’ favorite restaurant. Scratch Mexican kitchen. •Hamsa• Mary’s favorite Israeli spot- don’t skip the dips. •Uchi• Best sushi spot in Houston (Neo is actually our favorite spot but you have to reserve well in advance and it’s omakase only). •Marigold Club• Fancy British spot. The food is not great. The decor is to die for. •El Taconazo• Cash only street tacos. ONLY GO DURING THE DAY… Want to know more? We ranked every place we’ve eaten at in Houston.
