Rowan's teammate took this photo as a joke the day we first got to meet in person at a swim meet. Our towns/swim teams were an hour apart, so it wasn't easy to try dating, so we just talked a lot.

This is the photo at that swim meet! Our teams were very excited that we finally met in person. This was about a 5 minute interaction total haha

First "date" prom 2018 but we refused to admit we were dating for years because we both figured we'd go to college and that'd be that.

The summer before Ben left for college in CA was full of a couple weekend adventures like this sprint triathlon at Presque Isle. Milkshakes were of course obtained after.

Still not officially dating after Ben's freshman year in CA, but we did the triathlon again except Rowan fell off her bike and smashed her face. So naturally we went mountain biking that afternoon.

Road trip 2020. After two 12-hours-straight-in-the-car days we still wanted to be around each other so figured that was a good sign. This might've been when we "knew!"

Our tent-assembly skills were a bonding experience in the desert.

Grand Canyon on road trip. Nothing like multiple days without showers to make an adventure real.

Fun fact Rowan also crashed her rental surfboard straight into the beach.

Ben refuses to choose a favorite color, but if he had to, it might be sunset orange. Rowan's is, and always will be, blue.

Living on opposite ends of the country wasn't all bad, like Ben's tireless efforts to teach Rowan golf over the years. It's a lifelong work in progress.

Rowan's always making everyone eat more vegetables. Yes, there will be veggies at the wedding.

When Ben would visit Vermont there was always a hike no matter the weather.

And when Rowan visited California there was as much adventuring as we could imagine. So many weekend hikes to amazing national parks.

Rowan learned to cut a "high and tight" so Ben now has a barber for life. We have upgraded from squeezing a garbage bag around Ben to using a real barber cape.

We did our best to keep the laughs going with our many many facetimes over the years. The 3 hour time difference was no fun but clearly worth it!

Since it was so hard to visit we started sending virtual hugs. We aren't even going to talk about how jam packed this season of our camera rolls are.

Our cooking adventures started during college visits and now we even own a cookbook.

On this bike ride Rowan did not smash her face into the asphalt. Win. Ben's fall record remains at 0.

Another camping road trip! This time to Nova Scotia with college friends Lars and Erin.

We wish we had all these dogs but maybe someday.

PBJ always tastes better at the top of a mountain whether we hike up or ride a chair lift.

Rowan lived in VT for college and a year after, and Ben moved in for the last two years of that. One great weekend trip was Mont Tremblant skiing.
