The Wedding Website of Rachael Anderson and Nicholas Bell
Question

Just received my Save The Date! Now what?

Answer

Glad to hear your save the date didn't get lost in the snail mail! If you received your save the date, all you need to do is mark your calendars. Feel free to give us a call if you want to let us know your plans in advance, but we'll be sending out formal invites closer to the wedding date for you to RSVP either online or by mail.

Question

What should I use this website for?

Answer

This website will be your one-stop-shop for all details related to our wedding in October 2020. Here you'll find information on our wedding date, time, location, party, hotels, transportation, RSVP info, registry and FAQs. We're constantly updating this site, so try to check back once or twice before the wedding in case there are any changes.

Question

What is the best way to contact you both?

Answer

We can both be reached by phone, text, email, or social media (Instagram, Facebook etc.). Our direct contact info is listed below: Elle (Rachael) Anderson phone: (931) 237-7759 email: rachaela45@gmail.com Nick Bell phone: (570) 851-8414 email: na.bell23@yahoo.com

Question

In light of COVID - is the wedding still on? Any changes?

Answer

First let us say, we consider everyone's health and safety our top priority when it comes to the wedding. With that being said, we do not currently have plans to postpone or cancel the wedding. The celebration is still on for October 9th, and we hope things will clear up by then. Any and all updates to the wedding, will be communicated on the website, social media, and directly to each invited guest. Masks will NOT be required by the venue. It will be entirely up to you if you'd prefer to wear a mask or not.

Question

Received my invitation. When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please RSVP by no later than August 1st, 2020. This is also the deadline to inform us of any special accommodations (dietary, seating, handicap etc.) you'll need for the wedding.

Question

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

Yes, we have a registry! We're registered at Zola.com under Rachael Anderson and Nicholas Bell. Check out the Registry tab right here on our website. While these are all pre-selected wedding gifts you can purchase, feel free to shop wherever you'd prefer.

Question

Any recommendations for travel to/from airport and hotel?

Answer

Our best recommendation for those traveling from out of town, would be to rent a car (can split between friends) or Uber/Lyft to/from airport and hotel. Carpooling is always a good idea if you can coordinate your flights! Waxahachie is about 30-40 minutes south from both suggested airports, so expect to hit the road once you land. To avoid rushing, we also recommend flying in Thursday night (keep in mind - hotel check ins are usually at 3 pm, which is the same time our wedding begins on Friday!).

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Please arrive no later than 3:00 pm. The ceremony will begin promptly at 3 pm. The first shuttle/bus will leave the hotel at 2:00 pm, and the last at 2:45 pm from the hotel. (Subject to change, will share final schedule closer to date).

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Yes, cocktail attire/semi-formal. The wedding ceremony, reception, and cocktail area will be outdoors, however the reception will be covered. It will be early October, so bring a shawl or light jacket in case of chilly weather, though unlikely (it was 80° last year). There will be a LOT of grass, so ladies we recommend trading the stilettos for wedges, booties, or shoes with wider heels.

Question

Who is in the Wedding Party?

Answer

Wouldn't you like to know - we have a whole page dedicated to the individuals that are helping make our day extra special! Navigate over to the Wedding Party page and check out what we had to say about each person.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Check your invitations! Each invitation is good for two guests. We've provided separate instructions for those guests who will be bringing small children.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Give us a call! While we'd love to say all kids are welcome, again, limited space. We'd like to think it shouldn't be a problem, but please let us know your needs in advance.

Question

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

We sure do! On our Travel page we provide three of the closest hotels to the wedding venue - Holiday Inn & Suites at Waxahachie (preferred for guests), Best Western Plus, or Comfort Inn & Suites Waxahachie. Please refer to the travel page for details.

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

There will be parking at the venue, however if you'll need to drive please let us know in advance so we can get an accurate count of those that will/will not need transportation. We'll be providing transportation to/from the Holiday Inn at Waxahachie the day of the wedding and reception, so be sure to book your rooms early!

Question

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

We're so glad you asked - yes! We will have a school bus running from the Holiday Inn at Waxahachie to the wedding and reception venue (sorry to those of you staying at either the Best Western or Comfort Suites). The bus will make two trips. The first trip will leave the hotel around 2:00 pm (no later than 2:15 pm), and the second will leave around 2:30 pm (no later than 2:45 pm). Be sure to have everything you need, because they will only make three trips (each trip is to/from the hotel to the wedding/reception).

Question

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Absolutely! We'll be providing limited vegetarian/vegan options, however if you have a specific food allergy please let us know in advance, either directly or on the invitation response.

Question

Will the reception have open or assigned seating?

Answer

To make sure we can accommodate everyone, we will definitely have assigned seating. We'll have everyone's names and table number displayed clearly near the reception area's entrance.

Question

What kind of food will be served and how?

Answer

We'll have plenty of food options for our guests, including vegetarian/vegan options. We will be serving guests buffet-style, however your invites will request you select which meal you (and your guest) want, so our caterer can prepare enough for everyone.

Question

Will there be alcohol served? Rules we should know?

Answer

Yes - for those of you that indulge, you'll be happy to know we'll have an open bar for our guests to order both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. We'll have beer, wine, water, and lemonade. Keep in mind it's at our certified bartender's discretion to cut our guests off if they've had one too many.

Question

What security measures will be in place?

Answer

We will have a venue-provided security guard on site throughout our entire event. While we always hope there will be no accidents or injuries, we've planned ahead to ensure everyone's safety, especially with alcohol being served.

Question

Are there any other events that I should know about around/after the wedding?

Answer

While there won't be a formal/organized event, we couldn't just let you leave without saying goodbye. We'll be heading back to Dallas the day after the wedding and would love to do Brunch with those of you who don't need to catch flights right away.

For all the days along the way
