Megan

Maid of Honor

We've been best friends since Megan was born, and continue to bond as we grow in life! Although separated by a giant ocean as Megan cares for birds in Maui and I care for humans in Colorado, we always pick up right where we left off! Like a proud old sister I've seen Megan excel in her studies (I see you, Miss Master's degree) and create a long lasting impact on the future generations through her natural teaching abilities. We communicate through tiktoks and no one loves Halloween more than us.

Kristin

Bridesmaid

Kristin and I go back to 2016, when we were both techs at Craig Hospital. We've supported each other through nursing school, career growths, learning new things like skiing and mountain biking, and we celebrated Kristin's wedding of her own!! We share a unique connection that nurses develop while working in the trenches, and combined with our love for the outdoors, we never run out of things to lean on each other for. Why else would we have moved to Bailey?😉

Heather

Bridesmaid

From living in Golden together for 5 years, to climbing through canyons of Zion, to our yearly hut trip on Berthoud, Heather and I have flourished in friendship through our outdoor adventures...with the occasional misadventure in a 110 degree desert. I've looked up to Heather for YEARS and always wanted to follow in her shoes of flight nursing (sorry I copied you).

Andrea

Bridesmaid

Dr Drea...my Nathrop Queen! Andrea and I go WAY back, introduced through Wildy but bonded for life driving a white unmarked van in Japan through a blizzard with nothing but bad GPS, poor windshield wiper/blinker coordination, and a Mariah Carey Christmas CD on repeat. I've watched her build her practice while somehow destroying her own Strava QOM's.

Shuang

Bridesmaid

Shuang...from being THE two hangriest girls in the Japanese airport, to hiking for hours to ski 20 feet of snow in the middle of July, we have been through it!! Our travels and adventures are what keep us so tightly bonded, and watching you slay your Master's degree and climb the ranks in your career while cranking the miles outside has been such a joy.

Becca

Bridesmaid

Other Becca...Becca H...Becca#2...whatever you want to call it, we've known each other for over 14 years! We've climbed through canyons, jumped into death trap swimming holes, climbed beautiful sandstone, and watched more scary movies together than we can count. We've taken pictures in absolutely ridiculous costumes and I've seen the magic that Becca can create. I'm so grateful for our friendship with the privilege to watch each other grow up together, facing life's challenges one step at a time.

Jeff

Best Man

Jeff has been there since day 1 - literally. Steve and Jeff were inseparable as kids. Steve would copy all of Jeff's hobbies and interests, sometimes, Jeff would even let Steve play with his friends! From ruling Mason Park together, to visiting each other in college. The Soklin boys always know how to lighten the mood and make each other laugh. Good luck beating Steve's best man speech, Jeff!

Bob

Groomsman

The man, the myth, the legend - Bobby Socks! Mom would always be upset at how tight we were growing up, I don't think much has changed! You introduced me to all of my hobbies and interests, years later, we still find time to do some of them. Scuba diving, skiing, bike riding, tennis, baseball, and racquetball to name a few. You've always been there for me and I wouldn't leave you off my groomsmen list. Bob has taught Steve everything about this world and their bond is as tight as a father and son could be. Some say it is unconventional to have your father as a groomsman - to which we say, pish posh.

Joe

Groomsman

One of the top 3 most influential people of all times! Hands down! Joe is a larger than life character who has always been one of Steve's very best friends. Meeting in the rough and tumble fields of CJBL, Steve and Joe became fast friends. Despite Steve being terrible at baseball, the Verdi coaches always managed to draft Steve on some iteration of the Cardinals. Fast forward years later and Joe is more like family than friend. To intergalactic missions and best friends! Cheers, Joey baby.

Andrew

Groomsman

Andrew is the funniest human to ever grace this planet. Steve and Andrew met as outcasts of our various high school friend groups - eventually leading the group to super coolness. The Cottrells fully adopted Steve and took him on countless excellent adventures. Steve and Andrew made one hell of a roommate duo at the University of Hawaii. They evolved, grew, and forgave each other for that time! 😂. Since then, Steve and Andrew have been to the moon and back (and everywhere in between.) Andrew is very very special to Steve and they are lifelong - besties!

Casey

Groomsman

Casey Locurto is the sweetest human being to ever grace this planet - prove me wrong. Steve and Casey met at a tumultuous time for Casey as his family had been moving around the US for his Dad's job. Eager to make friends - Casey took to lying about his upbringing and family. A move that is so hilarious in hindsight, as I'm sure Casey hasn't told a single solitary lie since then. Casey has the most kind heart of anyone that you will ever meet - thinking of everyone but himself first. Steve and Casey became tight in middle school and eventually led a ragtag group of friends to Chatsworth High legends. Since then, Steve and Casey spent a gap year together in the land down under and have made it a point to take at least two trips per year together as adults- a highlight of the year for both of them. Casey - you have and will always be "in there like swimwear."

Patrick

Groomsman

Pat and Steve met as wait staff in a super crunchy, granola eating, Boulder livin' restaurant - Turley's. While waiting tables we would be day dreaming of what it would be like when we grew up and had 'real' jobs. Look at us now - all grown up! Pat and Steve have a shared bond over the beautiful Colorado mountains and have had countless trips and adventures travel through the state. Steve and Pat met at a pivotal time when they were both just getting established in Colorado from their respective states and have stayed close ever since. Pat and Steve's most epic moment, of course, was the time that Pat drove thousands of miles from Portland, Maine - he was missing his now wife, the Rockies, and probably Steve. In typical Pat fashion, the first stop on his trip back home to Colorado? Sprouts for a sandwich. He goes through the double doors and the first thing he sees? Steve checking out with his sandwich. Welcome home! Pat is a wonderful friend and a great person, now if only he could get his fitness in check!!
