FAQs

The Wedding Website of Becca Hedley and Steve Soklin
Question

I noticed my kiddo did not have an RSVP option. Are they invited?

Answer

Due to tight capacity limits at our ceremony and reception venues, we are unfortunately focusing on kiddos in immediate family only. Children are welcome to all other events surrounding the wedding day, however!

Question

What will the weather be like?

Answer

Weather in the mountains in the fall is very unpredictable! Plan accordingly and bring layers for the ceremony and any activities you participate in during the weekend! Temperatures range from 40 to 85 degrees, and weather could be rain, sunshine, or snow!

Question

What's there to do in Steamboat?

Answer

Boy, are we glad you asked! Steamboat in the summer and fall is host to a ton of activities, ranging from mountain biking to hiking, to fishing and cowboy hat shopping in the downtown center! https://www.steamboat.com/things-to-do/activities#filters=seasons:Summer

Question

How will I get to the top of the mountain for the wedding?

Answer

At the base of Steamboat mountain, an attendant will guide you to a fully enclosed gondola (not chairlift!) that will take you to the summit, and a van will drive you an additional few miles to the lodge itself. Take in the gorgeous views and relax! The van can pick you up at the base if you absolutely are not comfortable taking the 8 minute ride up.

Question

What do I wear to this shindig?

Answer

Our wedding attire is going to be "mountain chic cocktail." Think long flowy dresses and earth toned dress pants and suit jackets. This is your chance to dig out that funky suede suit you never thought you'd wear again, or rock the cowgirl boots and FAUX fur jacket you once bought on a whim. The wedding party will be rocking various shades of green, and we are crossing our fingers for some aspen gold foilage in the background so we don't get lost in a group of trees. While we do hope for clear weather, this is the shoulder season between summer and winter, so snow and/or rain is not out of the ordinary at over 9,000 feet! https://www.theknot.com/content/mountain-wedding-attire https://www.pinterest.com/meghaneskinner/mountain-chic-cocktail-attire/
