Perched on the Northern California coast, Sea Ranch is renowned for its modernist architecture and deep conservation ethic. Founded in the 1960s by architects, artists, and planners, the community prioritized low‑profile homes that emphasize natural materials and panoramic ocean view.
Sea Ranch is approximately a 2 and a half hours north of San Francisco along beautiful Highway 1. See the Things to Do section for some of our favorite places to stop along the way up. Please plan to arrive by around 5 PM on Friday for the Welcome Party.
For the wedding weekend, there are two accommodation options: The Sea Ranch Lodge (where the wedding will take place) and local Airbnbs. Airbnbs are the more affordable choice, while The Sea Ranch Lodge is a higher-end hotel. Dave and Chris will be staying at the Lodge. If you’re interested in joining us at the Lodge, please fill out the spreadsheet below by January 10th.

SFO is the most convenient airport; Sea Ranch is about a 2½-hour drive north via scenic Highway 1.
