Things To Do

On the Island

On the Island

Kiawah Island, SC

Head to the beach, rent bikes to cruise the 30+ miles of paved trails, check out the pools, play tennis and pickle ball, or grab kayaks to explore the marshes and rivers. If you're hoping to lose a few golf balls like Bobby, book a tee time at one of Kiawah's seven courses. Some of our favorite Kiawah Island restaurants: The Ryder Cup Bar at The Ocean Course Cherrywood BBQ & Ale House at Osprey Point Players' Pub at Cougar Point

Freshfields Village

Freshfields Village

165 Village Green Lane, Freshfields Village, SC 29455

Located at the roundabout just before you enter Kiawah (you can’t miss it!), Freshfields Village has plenty of shopping, dining, coffee and sweet treats. There’s also a Harris Teeter for groceries and anything you may need during your stay. Some of our favorite Freshfields Village bites and bevs: Café Eugenia Java Java La Tela The Co-Op 48 Wine Bar

Downtown Charleston

Downtown Charleston

Charleston, SC

If you’re extending your trip, we definitely encourage you to spend some time exploring downtown Charleston - which is about a 45 minute drive from Kiawah! Wander along the Battery, shop on King Street, take tours of the historic neighborhoods, and, of course, eat and drink your way through the city. For a convenient place to stay, check out the Indigo Inn, Meeting Street Inn, Hampton Inn Historic District, or Courtyard Charleston Historic District. And don’t hesitate to reach out to us for our full list of Charleston recommendations.
