Our favorite pastries and bread in town! Limited outdoor seating, and the most beautiful stroll. They're known for traditional European-style breads, pastries & light fare. Try a coffee and almond croissant, and go early because they often sell out on the weekends!
Gorgeous, not-too-busy, and free to the public, Birmingham Botanical Gardens is where we got engaged on July 29th, 2024. <3
Jackson was a barista at this coffee shop in college, and it's the best little spot to chill and re-caffeine in Homewood. It was in working here that he met The Chillest Manager Ever, Rick Munts (and eventually his wife, Leah, who Annie has since adopted). Don't forget to look on the back wall for a box of love letters to/from strangers--and text us if you find one of ours!
For being such a little piece of Alabama, Birmingham has a great zoo. It's $15-$20 per person, and Annie spent a lot of time wandering around here with her iPad illustrating her first published book, All That We Need, in 2022.
It was while coaching boxing here that Jackson met one of his closest friends, Brandon Snipes, and his sweet family. Book online to enjoy a super fun, empowering, high-energy workout!
Pop into Birmingham's premier LGBTQIA+ bar and catch a drag show every Friday and Saturday, or karaoke on Thursday!
Our favorite cocktail bar in Birmingham! It's eclectic, sentimental, and superbly decorating with bites and drinks, and the best date night spot if you're looking for something special.
When you're looking for a grungy, cheap, salt-of-the-earth hangout bar, this is definitely it. Local beer, hilariously on-theme décor, and chill as can be.
If you find yourself nearby, stop by to walk through the Woodlawn Mural Alley, where Annie has a mural as part of the 2022 Magic City Mural Festival, a community project hosted by Blank Space Birmingham.
