I thought Jackson's last name was Miller?

Answer

We love the Millers and the Hights! But instead of choosing one of our last names, we will both be changing our last names to "Brimrose," which is a combination of two family names. Check out our homepage, "Meet the Brimroses!" to read the story behind the name!

Is there a dress code?

Answer

No black, please. Semi formal attire, color encouraged. We're lovers of eccentric fashion, so anyone inclined is invited to (try! and) out-dress the Bride and Groom.

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

We ask that you arrive between 4:30-5:15 to enjoy a welcome drink and have a professional, formal portrait taken. The ceremony will begin at 5:30pm, and the 'doors' to the ceremony seating will close 10 minutes prior.

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Unfortunately, there are no plus-ones for unnamed guests at this time given the size and nature of our wedding venue. You can only fit so many people in a bookstore!

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

Yes! We are registered at Amazon, Target, Anthropoligie, and a few other places here and there. All storefronts are linked directly through our website, under the last tab which is labeled "Registry."

Why are you registered for so many books?

Answer

We are set to undergo a significant downsizing to move out-of-state in 2025, a big life change which you'll see reflected in our registry. As we're both avid audiobook listeners, we don't own hardcopies of many of the books we've read and enjoyed. Your presence at our celebration is more than enough gift! But if you'd like to give something else, please consider helping us stock us bookshelf.

What if I'm late?

Answer

No worries! The ceremony will begin at 5:30, and ceremony seating will be closed 10 minutes prior. If you arrive after this point, we'll see you for the reception around 6:00!

What's the venue like?

Answer

We'll be getting married at our favorite bookstore, Little Professor, in Birmingham, Alabama. They have two Bham locations, so make sure you head to the Homewood one. We'll be getting married outside, on the front patio, and the reception will be held in the Bookshop.

What's the weather like?

Answer

Based on past years, we expect the weather to be in the 50s-60s. While the reception will be inside the Bookshop, our brief ceremony will be held outside, so please plan accordingly. In the event of rain, you will be contacted about any changes.

Do you have a room block?

Answer

Unless you're one of our 'Best People' in our wedding party, we do not have a room block and are not able to coordinate your stay. But please check out our "Travel & Accommodations" page, though, to see which neighborhoods we recommend staying in!
