Please note we are only hosting a ceremony, no reception. Please arrive 15-20 minutes before the ceremony starts as we will begin promptly at the designated time. Please be aware that taking photos during the ceremony is strictly prohibited. Order of Shinto Wedding: 1. Sanshin (procession) 2. Shubatsu-no-gi (purification) 3. Norito-soujou (seek blessing and protection from Hachiman deities) 4. Kaguramai (sacred dance by Shinto Maiden) 5. Chikai-no-sakazuki (exchange of nuptial cups) 6. Seishi-soujou (vows) 7. Tamagushi-hairei (offerings to the Hachiman deities) 8. Yubiwa-no-gi (exchange of rings) 9. Shinzokuhai-n-gi (family drinks rice wine together to strengthen bonds) 10. Taige (recession) *Don’t be afraid to partake in the customs. You’ll find that doing so not only avoids any faux pas but actively enhances your appreciation of the ceremony!
