For those looking to get out into the mountains, Cheakamus Lake Trail is a beautiful, moderate hike. There is minimal elevation gain and the entire trip is around 4.8 miles total. Make sure to pack plenty of snacks, water, and bear spray. Apply for a permit ahead of time as you will need to present it to a ranger at the trail head.
Joffre Lakes is a stunning alpine lake trail, at around 5 miles and 1,500 ft of elevation gain it is a moderately challenging hike. You will need a permit from the BC parks website and there is no service at the trailhead, so grab one before you leave Whistler village.
If you are looking for epic mountain views without the strenuous hike, take a ride on the Gondola! You can start your gondola adventure in Whistler village or the upper village and even ride the peak to peak gondola between Blackcomb and Whistler Mountain. There are a few restaurants on Blackcomb or grab and go food on Whistler mountain. Bonus, kids under 6 ride for free!
For our adrenaline junkies, Whistler is one of the premier mountain biking parks in North America. Take the gondolas up and rip on the way down! They have runs for everyone from beginners to experts alike. If you have never ridden before, you can also schedule a lesson and give it a try!
Pemberton is one of the premier fishing destinations on the west coast! (The number one reason Andrew was so keen to get married in the area). Take a full day or half day guided tour fly fishing, sturgeon fishing, or even Heli fishing.
Another beautiful way to explore Pemberton's stunning backdrop is Horseback riding! Get a group together and take either a half day or full day ride through the incredible Squamish-Lillooet valley.
If you are in need of a relaxing afternoon, look no further than the Scandinavian style thermal spa! The spa has wonderful massages as well as multiple thermal pools perfect for disconnecting from the world.
