Dulles International Airport is about a 40-45 minute drive from the airport to both the ceremony and reception venues (33 miles). It is accessible by metro (on the silver line), but would require a transfer to the blue or yellow line in order to travel to the ceremony (blue or yellow line) and reception venues (yellow line only).

[Closest Train Station] Amtrak Station - Alexandria, Virginia

The Amtrak train station in Alexandria, Virginia is located in Old Town (right next to the King Street metro station). It is an easy walk or bus ride to many hotels nearby. You can easily transfer from the train station to the metro station to travel to the reception venue (located near Van Dorn metro station on the yellow line).

Closest Metro Stations

King Street Station (accessible by the Blue and Yellow lines) is the closest metro stop to the ceremony venue. It is about a 20 minute walk from the metro station to The Rectory on Princess Street, however you can also take a bus to travel between the metro station and the ceremony location (we recommend using Google Maps for real-time information about which bus to take and when). Van Dorn Station (accessible by the Yellow line) is the closest metro stop to the reception venue. It is a five minute walk from the station to The Garden Alexandria. If you plan to use the metro to travel to and from both the ceremony and the reception site, you will likely need about $15-$20 on your Smart Trip card (but please check the WMATA website for a more accurate amount as it will vary by which stations you start from).
