The Woman of Honor is Amy's oldest friend Emily Wolfe-Sherrie. Amy and Emily met when they were 18 years-old. They shared a mutual interest in Disney movies, anthropology, and learning Spanish. There was an instant chemistry and they have been friends ever since! Emily is working on her PhD in Biocultural Anthropology and she did her fieldwork in Coatepec, Mexico on maternal mental health in the postpartum and how oxytocin mediates the relationship between culturally desired social support and maternal depression.
