Washington State Ferry
The most common route to the island is to rent a car at Sea-Tac airport and drive to the Anacortes Ferry Terminal. This drive can take anywhere from 90 minutes if you're leaving before rush hour to 3.5 hours if you hit rush hour/mid-day traffic. Given that it’ll be a busier 3-day weekend, it’s important to book the ferry from Anacortes to San Juan Island's "Friday Harbor" ahead of time as the ferries fill up. Ferry reservations are released ~6 months in advance. We'll text FYI’s to remind people when the tickets are released. Amanda, Zach, or either of our moms are happy to walk people through the process of booking the ferry tickets online if you have any questions. While a big upfront ask of guests to arrange, the Washington state ferries are truly iconic to Seattle/Washington. Once on the ferry, the experience is breathtaking as you sail across the ocean with beautiful views of all the mountains and islands around you. Kenmore Air Seaplane
Kenmore Air offers daily seaplane flights direct to Roche Harbor (the wedding venue). We recommend leaving from “Seattle/Lake Union” to land directly at “Roche Harbor Marina”. The seaplane is a 45-minute flight that provides scenic views and convenient access to the San Juan Islands as you skip the traffic and ferries. Click the link below to get to their website.

Friday Harbor Seaplanes
Friday Harbor Seaplanes: Operates multiple daily scheduled flights between South Lake Washington (Renton) and Roche Harbor. The flights last ~50 minutes and have the option to include an additional shuttle service to and from Sea-Tac Airport. Click the link below to get to their website.

Friday Harbor Jolly Trolley
If you're lodging in Friday Harbor and don't have a car, there are a few ways of getting across the island to Roche Harbor (the wedding venue) as Ubers are not available on the island. The Friday Harbor Jolly Trolley offers a “Roche Harbor Express” shuttle running between Friday Harbor and Roche Harbor throughout the day. Click the link below to get to their website.

If you're lodging in Friday Harbor and don't have a car, there are a few ways of getting across the island to Roche Harbor (the wedding venue) as Ubers are not available on the island. Roche Harbor Resort
This resort is where our welcome party will be held on Saturday, May 23rd and the full wedding day will occur on Sunday, May 24th from the ceremony through the dinner/dancing. While there are many different types of accommodations available at Roche Harbor (from single rooms to multiple bedroom houses), the majority of their lodging options are multiple bedroom units, so please consider sharing lodging with other family or friends. All reservations here require a 2-night minimum stay. Our room block code only reserves a set of rooms for our wedding guests. Everything on the island is a short drive and Roche Harbor Resort has ample parking near the venue. Friday Harbor (the main town where the ferry lands) is less than 20 minutes away from Roche Harbor and a great town to stay within if you're not staying at Roche Harbor.
