FAQs

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

To help us with our planning, please RSVP to the events as soon as possible. However, the deadline is February 1st, 2026. We kindly ask that you respond by this date to allow us to plan accordingly and ensure everyone has an amazing experience on our special day.

Question

Are children invited?

Answer

We love your little ones, we really do! However, we respectfully request no children under 18 years old on the day and night of the wedding. We hope you take this as an opportunity to enjoy a fun date night! Please don't be offended or surprised if you see a few of the wedding party members with babies. A few exceptions have been made to help a few people feasibly be apart of the wedding party for the weekend. They are still graciously following guidelines to help prevent disruptions during key wedding moments.

Question

Can I bring a +1?

Answer

Due to limited capacity, we are only able to accommodate those formally invited. If you received a plus one, it will be addressed on your invitation and RSVP section of the website.

Question

Is there a dress code for the wedding?

Answer

We would love to see our family and friends dressed up with us! We are requesting a formal dress code for the wedding day and evening. Think garden party formal given the ceremony will be held on grass (rest of evening on solid ground). For men, this means suits or button down shirts and dress pants with a tie or bow tie. For women, floor-length gowns, elegant cocktail dresses, dressy jumpsuits, or dressy suits. If you're unsure - it's always better to be slightly overdressed than underdressed. Wear whatever color you would like, but please no solid white.

Question

What time should I arrive?

Answer

Please arrive to the venue by 4:00PM. The ceremony will begin promptly at 4:30PM.

Question

Is the venue indoor or outdoor?

Answer

The ceremony and cocktail hour will be outdoor. The reception dinner and dancing will be indoor with the ability to walk around the property outdoors, if desired. Notably, the ceremony will be on grass for those who plan to wear heels. The rest of the evening will be on solid ground.

Question

Is there parking at the venue?

Answer

Yes! Roche Harbor Resort has plenty of parking. If you are lodging in Friday Harbor (the main town on San Juan Island), you will be a 20 minute drive from the venue. You're more than welcome to drive and park for the day and evening.

Question

Are there Ubers on San Juan Island?

Answer

Unfortunately, no. Therefore, you will need to drive to the venue in a rental car or use one of San Juan Island's shuttles or trolley to get to Roche Harbor if you are not staying at the Roche Harbor resort.

Question

What should I do if I can't make it?

Answer

You will be missed, but we understand! Life is busy and this is a destination wedding that requires a whole weekend for our guests, therefore we completely understand if you cannot attend. Please let us know as soon as possible and RSVP "no", so we can plan accordingly.

Question

Can I take photos during the ceremony?

Answer

We kindly ask that you put your phones and cameras away during the ceremony as we want you all to be present with us in the moment. We have a professional photographer and videographer capturing the ceremony for us. Other than the ceremony, yes! Please feel free to take as many photos and videos as you'd like.
