Flight

Vancouver International Airport

Most flights either go straight to Vancouver Airport or via another domestic airport first. It's then either a short hop to Victoria airport, or you can take the ferry.

Flight

Victoria International Airport

Victoria International is the nearest airport to Victoria and is usually the gateway to the island.

Flight

WestJet

Obvs there are lots of airlines to choose from, but this is a good budget option. It has comfortable, roomy seats and usually has good prices. The only downside is you have to pay for food or bring your own. Most passengers seem to bring their own food and drink, so make sure to stock up at the airport! You can bring your own ipad to connect to the plane's entertainment system gratis, or hire one for $10.

Flight

Harbour Air

Once in Vancouver, Harbour Air flies passengers all around the island (including Victoria) and the surrounding gulf islands.

Travel Note

BC Ferries

From Vancouver you can catch a ferry to a number of destinations on and around Vancouver Island, including Victoria. Clean, comfortable and stunning scenery. The ferries have good canteens, buffets and modern facilities like phone charging stations and tvs. Recommended, just book ahead.

Travel Note

V2V Vacations Ferry

Downtown Vancouver to Downtown Victoria with no lengthy drive from the ferry terminal, this luxury cruise is more expensive than the regular BC ferries but charts a picturesque course and in more comfort.

Travel Note

Victoria Bus Service

Victoria has a clean, efficient and good-value bus service.

Rental Car

Car Rental

There are a number of car rental places at Victoria Airport and downtown such as Budget, National, Enterprise, Avis and Hertz.

Travel Note

Bicycle, Vespa or Motorcycle Rental

If you want to rent a bike, download the U-Bicycle App. Their green and silver bikes can be found all over the city. If you would like to zoom around on something motorised, like a Vespa, look into https://victoria.cyclebc.ca/ They have a wide selection and are located downtown. For guided bike tours check out Eagle Wing Tours and Bike Tours Victoria.

Travel Note

Victoria Taxis

Unfortunately Vancouver Island doesn't have Uber or Lyft so you have to rely on the traditional taxi cartels and their drivers who diligently maintain North Korean levels of customer service and cheer. www.yellowcabvictoria.com victoriataxi.com www.taxicab.com

Travel Note

Nanaimo Taxis

If you are entering the island through Nanaimo, the local taxi companies are: https://www.nanaimotaxi.ca/ http://actaxi.ca/

Shuttle Bus

June 27, 2019 10:00 am - 1:15 pm

We have arranged for a complimentary shuttle bus to run from Victoria to Campbell River the day before the wedding (Friday 06/27/19) and home again the day after the wedding (Sunday 08/27/19). When you arrive in Campbell River, you will have time to check in to your accommodation and then can make your way to Dolphins Resort for the Welcome BBQ. A list of taxi services are listed elsewhere in this section, and we'll see if anyone can carpool or give lifts too.
