Erik and I met in high school when I made a joke at the expense of the genre (post-rock) of his custom ringtone. Eight years later (and shortly after this photo was taken) we ended up going to a post rock music festival, so I guess the joke was on me.

Katie and I went to high school together (where I used to be intimidated by how cool she was), and became even closer when we both lived in Chicago. We've gone through a lot together - including losing our luggage for four days while island-hopping in Greece!
