Bride
I arrived at the coffee shop early, and purchased a cup of coffee. I remember thinking "there's no way I'm going to finish this giant cup of coffee by myself." I wanted Alex to think that I read a lot, so I found a cute booth on the back patio and started to read a copy of On the Road by Jack Kerouac. By the time Alex got to the coffee shop, it was too dark to read outside. Nevertheless, I pretended like I was reading the book when Alex approached me. .

I walked into Haus Coffee but didn't see Jen, even though she had texted me that she had arrived early. Worrying that I may have been ghosted, I went to the restroom and texted her that I had arrived, and she confirmed that she was there as well. After looking around the cafe again without any luck, I decided to try the employee-only looking door which led to an unlit, cold, outdoor patio occupied by only one person: Jen, reading in the dark. After we introduced ourselves, I told her that I was going to grab a cup of coffee before we moved on to the Academy of Sciences; but she insisted that I drink the second half of her cappuccino instead.
Jen has still not finished that book.
Alex still finishes the second half of Jen's coffee every day.
