7:00 pm - 10:00 pm
For anyone who will be on the island a few days early, please join us on the beach Thursday evening for a private bonfire and local ghost stories! We will be joined by two island locals who will tell us some Ocracoke history and a few spooky stories. Beach chairs and s'mores will be provided - bring yourself, bug spray, a flashlight if you've got one, and anything you'd like to eat or drink! Glass is permitted on the beach. S'mores start at 7, stories at 8.
4:30 pm - 9:00 pm
Welcome to Ocracoke! Join us at the community center for a casual gathering Friday evening to officially kick off the wedding weekend! It'll have all the makings of a good party: Carolina barbecue, drinks, games, karaoke - and air conditioning!
6:30 am
You can TRULY wear whatever you'd like - bare feet and bathing suits are just fine!
A sunrise ceremony followed by a diner breakfast - what could be better?! If you're not an early riser, don't worry - feel free to skip the ceremony, sleep in, and wake up refreshed knowing that you can celebrate with us at the reception in the evening. The ceremony will take place on Lifeguard Beach, the first beach with a parking lot as you head out of the village. (It's also the same place where the beach fire will take place Thursday night.) Note: the ceremony will not be seated in a traditional fashion (aka with chairs) as the National Park Service does not allow chair setups during the summer. That said, the ceremony will be short, and we will have plenty of blankets on the beach for you to sit on - and we'll sneak in a few lawn chairs for those of you who need one!
7:00 am
Join us for breakfast at the Pony after the ceremony! Note - the restaurant opens at 7:00 and is open to the public that morning; we will just be joining the queue and getting seated when and where possible. Other breakfast options are Ocracoke Coffee Company and Stockroom Street Food.
4:30 pm - 10:30 pm
Attire: From beach casual to cocktail attire, wear whatever makes your heart sing and your feet dance!
The Flying Melon is a family-owned Ocracoke restaurant that specializes in New Orleans cuisine with an emphasis on seafood and fresh produce. Cocktail hour will begin at 4:30, followed by dinner, dessert, and dancing! Note: The restaurant has plenty of parking for golf carts and cars, and, as is the case for everything on Ocracoke, it's also within walking distance of wherever you are staying!
