Flight

Denver International Airport or Eagle County Regional Airport

You have two airport options for traveling to Vail: Denver International Airport (DEN): 116 miles from Vail, 2-2.5 hour drive Eagle County Regional Airport (EGE): 36 miles from Vail, 40-45 minute drive Denver offers more flight options at generally lower prices, but you may need to rent a car for the weekend, carpool to Vail, or take a shuttle or bus from the airport (see travel notes below). Alternatively, you can fly into Eagle County, though it has fewer flights and is typically more expensive. However, Ubers and Lyfts are convenient options for getting to Vail from there.

Hotel

Gravity Haus Vail

352 East Meadow Drive, Vail, CO 81657

Gravity Haus Vail is a great choice with its central location in Vail Village, making it super convenient for wedding-related events like the rental bus pickup and drop-off, welcome drinks, and the after-party. Plus, it has stellar amenities—hot tubs, saunas, cold plunges, a gorgeous lounge/co-working space, and a fantastic gym. For the value, accommodations, and amenities, we highly recommend Gravity Haus. The wedding day shuttle will pick up and drop off at Vail Transit Center (very close to this location). Rambler (King): 9 available, $329.00 per night (+ fees) Gnarnia (2 Queens): 7 available, $329.00 per night (+ fees) Powder Hound (Cali King): 2 available, $329.00 per night (+ fees) Slopeside (King + Twin sofa): 2 available, $329.00 per night (+ fees) Catwalk (Double King + Twin Bunks): 1 available, $329.00 per night (+ fees) Switchback Family Suite (King + Double Twin Bunks): $329.00 per night (+ fees) To book a room, please call (303) 503-4762 or email groupreservations@gravityhaus.com, and mention you’re reserving for the "Murray Mears Wedding." Hotel

Sitzmark Vail

183 Gore Creek Drive, Vail, CO 81657
 (888) 476-5001

We’ve secured a smaller room block at the Sitzmark Vail, located in the heart of Vail Village. It’s a great choice for easy access to wedding-day transportation and events like the welcome drinks and after-party. To check available rooms and rates, please use the link below. The room block offers a 15% discount off standard rates. However, please note that this hotel is slightly more expensive and has fewer amenities compared to Gravity Haus. Some additional information below! Main Dates: Aug. 21-24, 2025 Check in 4PM | Check out 11AM Parking: Limited paid parking is available at the hotel, but we recommend using the Vail Village Parking Structure for added convenience (please refer to the "Parking in Vail Village & Lionshead" section below for more details).

Travel Note

Airbnb Options

There are plenty of Airbnb options available for groups of guests. We highly recommend staying in Vail Village or Lionshead Village, as both locations are within walking distance of the shuttle pickup (at Vail Transit Center) that will take you to and from Camp Hale. Please take a look at the condos and homes we've saved at the provided link—these are just suggestions. If you choose to stay further out, we recommend renting a car to make traveling to and from the wedding events more convenient.

Travel Note

Rental Car Information

If you would like to rent a car to drive from the Denver airport, we recommend Enterprise, Alamo, and National. The Eagle County airport has fewer rental car options, but we'd recommend Hertz, Dollar, or Thrifty. As mentioned above, the drive to Vail from the Denver airport is about 2-2.5 hours while the drive from Eagle County to Vail is about 40 minutes. There is also an Enterprise rental car location near Vail if you have any issues with a rental car or decide to rent a car after taking a shuttle to Vail. We will have shuttle transportation options to and from the venue to Vail on August 23, so you will not need a rental car to reach the venue. A rental car is a great option for those who would like to hike or do other activities in the area, but it is not necessary. Vail operates an extensive bus system that can take you to lots of trailheads and other towns in the area.
