To book your room, please email our travel agent, Amy, at amy@thetravspot.com with: full names and birthdates of all members of your party, your travel dates, your desired room selection, your trip protection selection (VPP or VPP+), and your departing airport if you plan to bundle your airfare. Please note that we have reserved rooms for our guests until 1/5/2022; after this date, rooms are subject to availability. After you have provided Amy with all the necessary information, Amy will send you your quote. Once you have approved the quote, you will then be sent your own private client portal link to pay your deposit, manage your booking & make future payments. Full payments are due closer to your travel dates. Amy will provide you with this information. Please check out our FAQ page for more information.

Flight

Liberia International Airport

The closest airport to the resort is the Liberia International Airport (LIR). We recommend flying into LIR for the shortest commute to the resort. If you wish to bundle your room and airfare, the airfare (the full amount for all members of your party) will be due at the same time you place your room deposit. However, you are also more than welcome to purchase your airfare at a later date on your own. We encourage you to book your airfare sooner rather than later as prices will rise as the date approaches. The average price for a roundtrip flight ranges from $300-$600 a person depending on when you book your airfare, your travel dates, and where you are traveling from.

Transportation

The LIR airport is about 1.5 hours from the resort. Transportation from the airport to the resort and vice versa are included in your all-inclusive price (the quote Amy sent you) if you booked through our travel agent. Amy will help you book your transfers closer to your travel dates. The company we are working with that will handle guest transfers is top-notch! The ride is entirely scenic, including views of volcanoes, sloths, monkey & other wildlife, and the Guanacaste mountain ranges. Additionally on your drive, you will have the opportunity to learn about the country's history and local facts, like how they run on 99% renewable energy, as well as learn common phrases to know during your stay, such as Pura Vida!

Requirements for Entry into Costa Rica

A valid passport **IS REQUIRED** to visit Costa Rica. Passports typically take about 10-12 weeks to come in once you have applied for one, so please plan accordingly. A passport typically costs about $110. Please make sure your passport is valid for at least 6 months past the date of your return flight. As with traveling to any country, there will be some additional forms for you to fill out closer to your travel. Our travel agent Amy will assist you with this. With COVID-19 protocols constantly changing and our wedding date being months away, we will update you with COVID protocols for getting into Costa Rica and getting back into the US closer to the wedding date.

COVID-19 Travel Information

In light of COVID-19, we wanted to check in and let you know that your health and safety are our top priority. We are hopeful COVID will no longer be a major issue for our wedding in May of 2022. However, we cannot predict the future and Costa Rica and the US are taking precautionary steps we must abide by. Things are ever changing and we encourage you to check back closer to the wedding date for COVID-19 related travel information. As of now, you are required to provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination. Considering the uncertainty of COVID-19, we do recommend that you purchase trip protection. There are two options to choose from: 1) VPP+, which is a full refund, or 2) VPP, which allows you to use the money towards a future booking. Your rate will depend on your length of stay and will be provided by Amy at the time of booking. If you do not book your flight through Amy, you will need to purchase airfare trip protection on your own; airlines typically have their own insurance options.
