We're getting married!

We are so excited to celebrate our special day with our closest friends and family in the beautiful country of Costa Rica! Traveling is near and dear to both of our hearts, which is why we couldn't think of a better way to celebrate our love than with a destination wedding! We chose Costa Rica as our destination to indulge in all the adventures Costa Rica has to offer - a tropical paradise with tranquil beaches, breathtaking rainforests filled with exotic wildlife, and so much more! Alex and I have a funny way that we met. I had math class with Alex's roommate my freshman year of college. I saw Alex in her roommate's pictures on Instagram and thought she was a HOT little thang, so I obviously had to follow her on Instagram😜 Little did I know that at that time Alex and her other roommates were orchestrating a setup between me and Alex's roommate. They asked me to come to their dorm to help her roommate "study” for a math test we had coming up. Needless to say, I wasn't interested in anything more than studying math with her roommate. Fast-forward to the following summer before our sophomore year of college, I added Alex on SnapChat and we talked everyday for the next few weeks before school started. The first night we met, I invited her to a party. I actually paid no attention to Alex all night and was more invested in playing beer pong and hanging out with friends😅 As you can probably imagine, this did not go well with Alex and she decided to leave, but I was not going to let that happen. I ended up running down the stairs to stop her and somehow convinced her to stay. We ended up staying up all night talking about anything and everything. We kept talking for a few months and hanging out here and there until I finally asked her to be my girlfriend in December of 2016. The rest is history. Alex has had my heart since then and I couldn’t imagine going through life with anyone else by my side. I love you, Al, and I am so excited to marry you.❤️ P.S. Where did you two meet? We met our sophomore year in college at the University of North Carolina Charlotte. What’s the most memorable trip you have taken together? The most memorable trip thus far was our cruise to the Bahamas! It was Cory’s first time on a cruise & we made so many fun memories – swimming with the dolphins (the dolphins even sang Happy Birthday to me!), snorkeling in Nassau, and eating an unhealthy amount of Guy’s burgers and ice cream. What’s your favorite activity to do together? Traveling! Cory and I plan to spend a lot of time traveling the world together. It was an easy decision for us to have a destination wedding so we could put another pin in our world map - Costa Rica! Some of our other bucket list destinations include Italy, Greece, Australia, Africa, and somewhere we can experience the Northern Lights! We also love binge-watching new shows and taking our sweet Addie girl for hikes. What is your favorite thing about Cory? There are too many things to count. Cory is honestly my best friend and partner in life. He always knows how to make me smile on my toughest days. He calms me when I feel overwhelmed in life. He is always willing to help me accomplish my goals. He will always run to Chick-fil-a when I have had a rough day. He asks me how my day was every day and if there is anything he can do to help me. He is patient. He is loving to everyone he meets. He makes me feel cherished and completely adored. He puts me before himself. He has taught me the true meaning of love.
