While there are a various major airports in Italy, the closest airport to our venue is Leonardo da Vinci – Fiumicino Airport in Rome.

We recommend renting a car to fully explore the Umbria region and beyond. Sixt is popular in Italy but there are many options to choose from within the Rome airport. We recommend reserving in advance. While we will provide shuttle services to the Rehearsal Lunch on Saturday, we are unable to provide transportation to other activities you choose to pursue on your own. Please let us know if you decide to rent a car so we can account for other parking/transportation throughout the weekend. Please inquire specifically with each rental car agency about the requirements for international drivers licenses. There is parking available both at the Villa and local agriturismos.

Train

Leonardo Express from Trenitalia

While renting a car provides the most flexibility, we’ve also taken the train from the Rome airport into the surrounding regions; it is straightforward to navigate and will take you to the nearby town of Terni or Spoleto and from there a short taxi ride will be required to get to the Villa/agriturismos. We recommend booking tickets in advance on Trenitalia or Italo to secure preferred departure/arrival times.

We have rented our wedding venue for the long weekend and are delighted to host some of our guests on-site, while others will be accommodated at a nearby agriturismo. We appreciate that you are traveling far to be with us and will be covering the cost of your lodging Thursday night through Monday morning. As room arrangements depend on availability, bedding configurations, and group sizes, we will finalize assignments after receiving RSVPs. There is nothing you need to book unless we inform you otherwise. We appreciate your patience and will share your specific accommodations as soon as they are confirmed!

For some of our guests, we have reserved accommodations at a beautiful nearby agriturismo, just a short distance from our wedding venue. This charming countryside retreat offers a relaxed and family-friendly atmosphere, with spacious rooms, scenic surroundings, and a variety of on-site activities to enjoy. It is also well-suited for guests who prefer more accessible accommodations. We appreciate that you are traveling far to be with us and will be covering the cost of your lodging Thursday night through Monday morning. We will assign rooms based on availability and group size after receiving RSVPs, so there is nothing you need to book yourself. We’ll share your specific accommodations as soon as they are confirmed!

Closer to the date of the wedding, we will include local taxi numbers here. Please note that taxis can be unreliable late at night in this region. Additionally, while some cabs are accepting credit cards, some refuse, so please make sure to have some cash on hand.

Jubilee 2025

2025 is a Jubilee Year, a special event in the Catholic Church that takes place every 25 years, bringing millions of pilgrims to Rome. This means the city and surrounding areas will be busier than usual, with large crowds, higher demand for transportation and accommodations, and occasional road closures. While we do not expect this to significantly impact guests after leaving Rome, we recommend booking flights, trains, and rental cars early if you're extending your stay, and allowing extra time for travel.
