This hotel has just been remodeled & is centrally located. There is a buffet breakfast but no restaurant. Main Valdez bar is right next door. There will be rooms available for booking under Kane Wedding. We have not yet received room rates. We have been told by the manager that they will inform us of these rates by the second week of January.

The Anchorage airport is the main hub to get just about anywhere in Alaska. Whether you decide to drive or fly to Valdez you will be stopping in the Anchorage airport. The drive from Anchorage to Valdez is absolutely beautiful and we highly recommend it. There are many car rental services located at the Anchorage airport. The drive to Valdez is about a 5 hour drive.

Flying from Anchorage to Valdez is a 40 minute flight. All flights in and out of Valdez are operated by Ravn Alaska. There is a small car rental agency located at the Valdez airport called Valdez-U-Drive. They charge $84 per day for a small compact vehicle (e.g. Ford Focus) price includes 100 miles per day. When you return the vehicle if you are over your set mileage you will be charged per mile.
