The theme is White Wedding! The accent colors are gold, black, and forget me not blue (The Alaska state flower.) Outdoor Alaskan wedding and enchanted garden.
The dress code is semi formal. Look your best but be comfortable. There will be a group photo!
Summer weather in Valdez can be very unpredictable. It is either sunny, warm and beautiful or it is rainy and cool. It would be smart to pack a rain jacket, sweatshirt, and pants. Dressing in layers is best. Although sunny summer days can get very warm and the evenings are often cool. Both the wedding ceremony and reception is being held in the backyard of Kristie and Doug Cranor’s house located at 5315 Chalet Dr Valdez, AK 99686. Kristie and Doug live about 10 miles out of town in Alpine woods. This is about a 10-15min drive from town.
Yes. There will be limited parking available at the Cranor residence as well as a small parking area next door. We also please ask that if you decide to booze do not cruise. There is no excuse for drinking and driving. Plan a ride with a sober friend, order a taxi, or rely on the free limo service. Thank you.
Yes, there is one taxi service in Valdez. Valdez cab:(907)-835-2500. However it is a small town and just about everything you would need is in walking distance. On the night of the wedding there will be a limousine providing a shuttle service for guests from the wedding to there hotels.

Yes. The wedding is on Tuesday, August 6th. The weekend before the wedding starting Friday, August 2nd is when the wedding festivities begin. This is Gold Rush Days weekend! There will be events for every age group. Please refer to the schedule portion of our website for more information regarding upcoming events.
Valdez Gold Rush Day July 31 - August 4, 2019 The Valdez Gold Rush Days are an annual 5-day celebration honoring the past, present, and future of Valdez, Alaska. It is hosted by a non-profit organization of local volunteers. Every year the people of Valdez donate money to a variety of local charities and organizations, especially to those focused on children and the future of Valdez.
Valdez Wine Walk 2019 marks the 10th annual Height of Fashion Wine Walk in Valdez, Alaska! On Friday, August 2, sample a variety of wines while visiting local businesses. Costumes are highly encouraged, and the souvenir wine glass is yours to keep! One of the most popular events during Valdez Gold Rush Days, the Wine Walk will be held between 5-7pm this year. All wine must be consumed on business premises, and you must be 21 or older to participate. If you would like to participate in the Wine Walk you will need to reserve a glass.
