Guests are welcome to arrive any time Thursday after 4pm through Friday evening depending on travel schedules. If you will be arriving Thursday around 4pm, please head to the Main House where the Hawkesdene staff will provide you details to your room. If you will be arriving late, let us know and we will provide the information to you in advance. *Wedding Party: Please note, the rehearsal will be at 5pm on Friday. Wedding Party guests please plan to arrive prior to this time. If this is not feasible for you, please let us know ahead of time.

Welcome Dinner

Please be comfortable/casual. We will all be tired from travel!

Themed Dinner: Low Country Boil Roll up your sleeves and feast on an abundance of Jumbo Tiger Shrimp, Snow Crab Legs, Mussels, Baby New Potatoes, Corn on the Cob and Andouille Sausage steamed together in our spicy homemade broth. Served with Coleslaw, Watermelon, Jalapeño Corn Bread, Drawn Butter, Fresh Horseradish, Kickin’ Cocktail Sauce and Fresh Lemon wedges. Finish with our chef’s dessert. *subject to change depending on guest count We apologize, but this meal is only available only to on-site guests.

Group Hike

10:00 am

Athletic clothing with comfortable sneakers.

Meet at the Horseshoe Courts for a group hike through the Nantahala National Forest. Adventure seekers... please join the wedding party for a quick 0.5 mile hike to the summit of the Hawk's Nest. It's fairly steep, so wear your tennis shoes with a good tread! For those that can't do the hike, there is an ATV to bring you to the top, so you can join in on the fun! As a reward cold drinks will be available at the top, and technically you could roll your way down if needed. Lunch will be served at the main house when we return!

Please arrive to lunch at your leisure before 1:30pm. Yard Games!

2:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Casual/ Athleisure

Great time to show your "way too competitive" side and form life-long arch rivalries in a variety of yard games. For those who do not want to participate, feel free to cheer your favorite team to victory while hanging out/ socializing, and meeting other guests! Self-serve beverages and snacks will be available.

Wedding Party Rehearsal

5:00 pm

Dressy Casual: Think dresses, skirts, jumpers, dressy pant outfits, nice jeans, slacks, button-down shirts, open-collar or polo shirts.

Wedding Party Members meet at the main house for rehearsal. This includes: bride, groom, bridesmaids, groomsmen, officiant, parents of the bride, parents of the groom, grandfather of the bride, flower girls, ring bearer. If you have specific props, readings, or attire you'd like to practice with, please bring it with you.

Rehearsal Dinner

All guests are welcome at the rehearsal dinner! We can't wait to see everyone and give you all of the hugs! This cost includes appetizers, dinner, alcoholic beverages, NA beverages.

Stories & S'mores

Feel free to stay in your dressy attire or change into something cozy!

Can you think of anything better than s'mores around the fire on a cool mountain evening? Neither could we! Come tell you favorite stories about the bride & groom, make some s'mores, and crack a cold drink!

Llama & Alpaca Feeding!

1:30 pm

Llamas need to be fed! They're fun, friendly, and always hungry! Join Drew at the Llama Barn to help give our furry friends a delicious lunch.

Ceremony

3:30 pm

This event is formal attire with black-tie optional. Please wear formal dresses & gowns, dressy suits, and tuxes. Come dressed to impress! Please note, the ceremony will be either on gravel or grass. If wearing heels, please ensure they have a thick/wide base and are not stilletos due to risk for personal injury.

We would like everyone to be fully present with us during this time. Please join us for an unplugged ceremony. Politely silence/turn off cell phones prior to the beginning. Our photographer/videographer team will be documenting this event, including those in the crowd with us. Thank you for being fully present and engaged with us during this special time!

Cocktail Party

4:30 pm

This event is formal attire with black-tie optional. Please wear formal dresses & gowns, dressy suits, and tuxes. Come dressed to impress!

There will be a grand charcuterie display featuring a selection of imported and domestic cheeses, seasonal roasted and pickled vegetables, artisan sausages, dried fruits, homemade specialty sauces, additional seasonal items and an assortment of crackers. Beer, wine, cocktails, and non-alcoholic beverages will be available.

Reception

6:00 pm

This event is formal attire with black-tie optional. Please wear formal dresses & gowns, dressy suits, and tuxes. Come dressed to impress!

Please join us for a grand dinner buffet, speeches and toasts, desserts, and a night full of dancing! Check back for menu at a later date.

After Party

Feel free to stay in your formal attire or change into something comfy!

The best part about renting out the full estate - NO harsh reception end times. We'll bring a speaker, create a playlist if you feel inspired! The party can go on as long as we want!
