LET'S GET THIS PARTY STARTED!

We welcome ALL of our guests to join us starting Friday, April 19th to kick off this weekend-long celebration! While our official wedding will take place in the evening of Saturday, April 20th, this gorgeous space is ours for the whole weekend and we would love to share it with you.
We want our wedding to be more of an experience than an event, so for those able, we welcome you to join us starting as early as you 2:00pm on the 19th. There will be plenty to do (or nothing at all), we will make sure you are fed, and the accommodations are on site. While rooms aren't ready until 5:00pm on Friday, there will be a safe place for you to store your luggage, places for you to change if you need, and please know that the space is open for you to explore and relax in as soon as 2:00pm.
Welcome Wine in Winslow

We'll start this weekend celebration off with some wine, non-alcoholic beverages, and heavy snacks at Fletcher Bay Winery, which is just walking distance from the Bainbridge Ferry! So even if you're just arriving to the island, wander up the road to Fletcher Bay and we'll have a nice place to store your luggage until you're ready to shuttle over to IslandWood. You're also welcome to head straight to the venue if you prefer, though you may not be able to check into your room until 5:00pm.
Garden Gathering + Welcome Dinner

Once you've dropped your bags and settled in, join us for a happy hour in IslandWood's Garden + Greenhouse. This will be a casual time for all of our guests to enjoy, mingle, and settle into IslandWood over some m/cocktails and light appetizers. This will be followed by a welcome dinner all together in the IslandWood Dining Hall. The two of us will be gussied up and you're, of course, invited to do the same. However, we also know some of you will just be arriving and we care more about seeing you than seeing your fancy outfit so come as you feel comfortable! We also expect that some folks will be rolling in this evening, so get here when you can and know that we will have food waiting for you.
Camp Fire at Friendship Circle

Join us for some good old fashioned s'mores, popcorn (fresh from The Bay!), and hot cocoa as we gather around a real camp fire to set the tone for the weekend.

We love an activity! We also love to relax. The first part of our wedding day is to honor both these ways we love to spend time and to let you do the same. We have put together a list of optional activities (both onsite and off) for you to partake in. Whether you have spent the night at IslandWood the evening before or are joining for just this day, we hope you jump in however feels good to you!
Feel free to use this day to explore the beautiful campus, join in on some morning yoga, venture into town and check out what Bainbridge has to offer, take a guided bird habitat hike through IslandWood, learn about the sustainable design of the campus through a walking tour, wander across the suspension bridge, play around in the art studio where we'll creatively solicit your relationship wisdom, find and explore the treehouses on campus, play some yard games with other guests, climb the 120ft canopy tower to get a new perspective on your surroundings, or just relax and enjoy the day! A+A Get Married!

We hope for our whole wedding weekend to feel joyful and stress-free, and we want you to feel the same. So when you're when you're thinking about your outfit, we want you to wear whatever makes you feel your best! We want you to wear whatever color, whatever style, whatever outfit you feel great wearing. Weather permitting, we'll be outside on gravel and grass so wear shoes that you're comfortable walking (and dancing) in. Gather at the Friendship Circle.

Sunday Sendoff

IslandWood kindly asks that we check out of the rooms by 11:00 a.m. on Sunday, April 21st. While we have to be out by then, we would never kick you out without a chance to feed you and have a proper farewell! Please join us for brunch in the Dining Hall before you head out. After brunch, if you'd like to take a few hours to linger with your coffee and chat or wander the property, you are more than welcome at IslandWood until 1:00pm. Just please be sure to be fully checked out of your room by 11:00am. 6:30am Coffee and Continental Breakfast Available 9:00-11:00 Brunch 11:00am Guest Check Out of Rooms 1:00pm Farewell!
