Where to Stay in Avalon
There are many great places to stay in Avalon. We recommend booking as early as possible, as summer fills up quickly. We’ve found that hotel websites or Airbnb often offer the best rates, but you may also want to compare:

📌 Booking Tips
For hotels (like Hotel Atwater, Glenmore Plaza, Mt Ada, Pavilion) recommend booking early for July, since summer fills up fast.
For rentals (Airbnb, Hamilton Cove, Catalina Island Vacation Rentals) offer kitchens, space for families/groups, and often include golf-cart access (super useful on the island).
For a mix of convenience vs. comfort: rentals give flexibility, hotels give proximity to the heart of Avalon (restaurants, ferry, beach).
If you want to stay somewhere relatively quiet and scenic rentals or boutique-style hotels (Mt Ada, Catalina Canyon, Hamilton Cove) are especially nice.
