Our story began in March 2024 at The Westerner in Salt Lake City, though fate tried to introduce us a week earlier. Aimee had just moved back to Utah and went to check out the line-dancing bar with her friend Lauren. Lauren pointed out a guy across the room, and Aimee took one look and said, “Him?!” The universe clearly decided, Try again. A week later, it all fell into place. Aimee showed up wearing her Giants hat, and Kevin saw his chance. “Are you a baseball fan?” he asked a simple question that opened the door to something neither of us expected. The conversation flowed naturally, and we quickly learned we lived just minutes apart. That gave Kevin the perfect excuse to offer carpooling… which Aimee accepted only after a couple of weeks of making sure he wasn’t a weirdo or a serial killer. During those carpools, the late-night talks, driveway dances under the streetlights, and living-room twirls with no music at all, a quiet shift began. Aimee knew early on that Kevin liked her as more than a friend, but Kevin was patient. He saw that Aimee wasn’t ready for a relationship yet having just moved back to Utah she was only looking for friends. She needed someone steady, safe, and present. So Kevin showed up. Every time. By May of 2024, it was undeniable: what started as friendship had become something deeper. Kevin likes to say that on May 1st, Aimee made it very clear it was time for him to ask her out and he’s never looked back. From traveling together, laughing until we caused our own stomach aches, to walking through sickness, heartbreak, and family loss together, our bond only grew stronger. On May 11, 2025, in the red-rock silence of Moab, Kevin asked Aimee to marry him. Now we’re counting down to July 16, 2026 when we’ll stand on Catalina Island and make those forever promises surrounded by the people who’ve been part of our story from the start. We couldn’t imagine the day without you!
