Our first brief encounter was at our college, The Santa Fe University of Art and Design, where Pat was reading an Edward Gorey excerpt at a Halloween open mic. A few months later, we found ourselves stuck in a small room together with our friend’s dog Mildred at a crowded house party. We began talking and connected over the books, music, and films we both loved. Pat arranged our first date at Diablo Canyon, which was (and still is) one of his favorite places to spend a day. It turned out to be the first of many hikes together throughout beautiful Northern New Mexico. Eight years later, we share a home in downtown Santa Fe with our two adorable rescue Chihuahuas, Ollie and Rosa, and work together at the historic Lensic Performing Arts Center. Santa Fe and New Mexico have provided an important backdrop to our love story, and we've shared many adventures and special moments during our time here. As we celebrate our upcoming wedding, we're overjoyed to welcome our friends and family to this incredible place we’re lucky to call home.
