Are kids Invited?

Answer

We are hoping this will be a good date night for couples with children, and ask politely that children stay at home with appropriate babysitting arrangements. Here are a couple babysitting websites that are available in Austin area: Care.com and Sittercity.com. Both are trusted websites, you can find caregivers in the area and interview them beforehand to book for the needed wedding date (February 20th, 2021).

What is the Dress Code?

Answer

Cocktail Attire, suits, cocktail dresses are acceptable. It will be February in Austin, so plan accordingly. (It may be chilly, rainy, or it may be beautiful and sunny!)

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Yes; please give us notice if you need special food requests with your RSVP, so we can plan ahead for special requests.

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Yes; when you get to the property there will be signs to the parking lot off to the right. You will have to walk up the gravel driveway a bit to get to the ceremony site (so plan appropriate shoes options for gravel road!) If you need added assist to walk up the driveway, we will have a driver in golf cart shuttling people from the parking lot to the venue.

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

We recommend planning on getting to Ceremony 30 min prior to start time, to allow for traffic, or GPS problems. (We've all had them) If you take an Uber/Lyft from the Element/Aloft hotel, the car ride is approx. 20 mins to the venue (depending on traffic), so plan to leave the downtown area around: 4:00-4:15PM to allow for plenty of time to get to the venue prior to Ceremony start time.

Can I bring a date?

Answer

If you have a plus one (+1) on your wedding invite, you are welcome to bring a date! If you don't have a plus one, and you want to bring a date, let us know by RSVP date, and we can make accommodations. When RSVP'ing: let us know if you will be bringing a date or not, as well as provide us with their name, so we can get proper head count for the special day.

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

Due to COVID, we thought the easiest and safest for our guests still attending, will be to take Lyft (or Uber) to and from wedding venue. Lyft was able to provide us with credits for your ride with them. We will have a set number of Lyft credits provided to guests who are staying at the hotel block, (Aloft or Element Downtown). This being said, if you have a hotel in the area within 5 miles of the hotel/venue, you can use these Lyft credits as well. We will be providing extra Lyft credits for after the ceremony; we just ask kindly that people order their Lyft 20 minutes prior to leaving.

Are there babysitter services you recommend?

Answer

Yes! The two websites below are good places to find a one-time babysitter for the night of our wedding. There are many locations in Austin, TX listed on their websites. All you have to do is fill out your information, and you will be connected to a babysitter for the night. https://www.care.com/ https://www.collegenanniesandtutors.com/locations/state/tx/ If you have additional questions, or last minute changes to your plans, let me know at least a month before the wedding, so I can reach out to my friends in the area that are a good resource for quality babysitting services.
