As much as we would love to allow all plus ones or kids, unfortunately our venue isn’t bigger on the inside like the Tardis so we wouldn’t be able to fit everyone. With that in mind, only the name(s) listed on your invitation envelope are those that are invited. If your envelope says “family” then your children are included. Sorry for any inconvenience this may cause!
Cocktail/Semi-formal attire. Our wedding will also have a slight Doctor-Who-But-Classy theme so Doctor Who related attire is also welcomed🤓
Peter: I've always been a fan of Science Fiction, but honestly Doctor Who was a challenge to get into at first! I was used to characters being a vehicle to show an imagined world, full of new rules and dreamed up physics. But what I came to love about Doctor Who is how it flips that concept on its head, using alien situations and scenarios to teach us about who we are and who we could choose to be. Brittany: Aside from the hilarious British wit and mind-blowing time travel moments, one of the things I love most about Doctor Who is how often it touches on the dignity and value of each person's existence. One of the writers also mentioned how unique and beautiful it is that when they chose to make this particular hero, they didn't give him a gun or a weapon, they gave him an extra heart. It's those kind of meaningful choices that keep me returning to the show time and time again.
THE ESSENTIALS: For those who can't quite commit to watching everything but want to be familiar with it. Watch in any order. 🔘 "Blink" - S3 Ep8 🔘 "The Eleventh Hour" - S5 Ep 1 🔘 "Vincent and the Doctor" - S5 Ep10 (grab your tissues for a happy cry🥲) 🔘 "The Pandorica Opens" and "The Big Bang" - S5 Eps 11-12 🔘 "The Zygone Invasion" and “The Zygone Inversion” - S9 Ep 7-8 THE LONG WAY 'ROUND: For those wanting to go on the whole journey. 🔘 Go to HBO Max and start with "Blink" - Season 3, Ep 10*. It's a stand alone episode that has some amazing time travel plot points. Fun fact: This was the first episode of Doctor Who that Brittany saw and immediately hooked her on the series. 🔘 Continue forward through David Tennant's (the actor playing the Doctor) series. You can go back to Season 2 if you want to start his from the beginning, but just know that the production value isn't the greatest, though the storytelling is great. 🔘 If you're not feeling David Tennant's seasons, jump ahead to Matt Smith's run as the Doctor, Seasons 5-7 (This is Peter's favorite Doctor!). The production value is a lot better and the writing is incredible. So much heart, the best reveal in television history, and lots of wit/humor. If you go with this option - just make sure you at least watch Season 4 Ep 8 "Silence In The Library," it will be important later 😉 🔘 Continue forward through Peter Capaldi's run of the Doctor, Seasons 8-10 (This is Brittany's favorite Doctor!). 🔘 As amazing as it is that there was a female Doctor in Seasons 11-12, skip those seasons. The writing is drastically sub-par to all the others. BUT you should watch Season 13, it's a lot more like the previous seasons and has some important backstory for things moving forward. 🔘 Hop over to Disney+ to watch the new seasons! We are very excited about this reboot because one of the old writers has returned. *Even if you're one of those people that has to watch everything from the beginning, skip S1.
