I love the photos he took of the ceremony and the family, but my absolute favorite were the candid photos from the dance floor. He was always present, but never obvious, and that allowed for some really joyful and organic shots. The meetings with Steve were helpful in communicating our vision and needs, and he was so responsive! Technical Review: Her correspondence was always prompt and thorough, hitting every point and flagging items we would not have even thought of. She was also extremely flexible when it came to virtual meetings, accommodating for both of our busy schedule. On many occasions, we met outside of business hours solely out of convenience to *us* as the clients. At no point would we have expected this level of flexibility, but Wei Yuh was consistently there for us--even for ad hoc questions and concerns. Wei Yuh's organization was also exceptional. Every spreadsheet and document was well-sorted and easy to comprehend. She always took the time to walk us through items and reassure us about any concerns. In many instances, Wei Yuh anticipated issues that we would not have ever considered, saving us both trouble and money. In fact, Wei Yuh was always very sensitive to our budget and financial constraints, looking for creative ways to spare our wallet! This is yet another dimension in which her services went above and beyond. For nearly every major component of the planning process, Wei Yuh handled or guided liaising with other vendors. The result felt as if we truly had our "hands off the wheel" while still being fully aware of where the plans were headed. Overall Thoughts: We chose Wei Yuh because she immediately believed in our vision for the wedding. We had some very unorthodox ideas and were completely unsure our day would come together exactly as we wanted it. Writing this a few days after the wedding, we can say with complete confidence that Wei Yuh brought our hopes to life and executed them with precision, professionalism, and care. Throughout the process, including on the day itself, Wei Yuh maintained an energizing presence and clearly put everything she had into the project. We are certain that we could not have achieved our vision without a planner (despite stubbornly believing so in the very beginning!), but more than that, we don't think it would have happened without Wei Yuh specifically.”

“When we were booking vendors, I wanted wedding professionals. I wanted people who knew the industry inside and out because we were DIY-ing our wedding and without a planner. When you book someone for your wedding, youre not just booking their service- youre booking their industry knowledge and Magnus has a LOT of knowledge and such a big heart. My example of this is within 4 hours of submitting an initial inquiry, we had an email with a scheduled time to call to chat about his services and our wedding plans to see if they matched. What really got our hearts though was before we agreed to work together, he helped me fine tune the schedule I had in my head for the wedding day. He helped us with our timeline not because he was trying to “sell” us on him, and he didnt say “if we work together I’ll help you with the timeline” which would have been perfect acceptable. He helped me because he cares about weddings and wanted to make sure regardless of who we went with for a DJ that we had a good foundation. After that call, I told Collin I wanted Magnus on our wedding team and we didnt need to even consider anyone else and let me tell you - that was one of the best decisions we made. Throughout the process he gave great ideas based on his experience not only for the party (DO THE 10-15 MINUTE DANCE PARTY!!!) but on other aspects of our wedding as well. You’re not just working with an “oh you got a *DJ* DJ!!”as my friend so excitedly said after the music started, you’re working with a professional big hearted person with years of experience who is here to help you have the best time. Our day was truly the best and Magnus was a huge part of that. Once the music started, our dance floor was packed and stayed packed to the bitter end! I will absolutely recommend him to everyone and we are still hearing about how great the music and vibes were. Pics for vibes *insert stars emoji since zola wont allow emojis*”

After the shoot he enthusiastically agreed to meet us down the street at a local pond to get the perfect sunset picture. We are so happy with that gallery! Fast forward to the wedding and Dave fit in like a member of the family but didn’t skip a beat with capturing all the important moments. I shot my first wedding in 2004, and from that moment on, I was hooked! It's an honor to witness and capture such an important moment in the lives of my couples. Before specializing in weddings, I focused on fine art and night photography. I earned a BFA degree in studio art from the University of Notre Dame (Go Irish!), and a MFA degree in imaging arts/photography from Rochester Institute of Technology. I taught black and white, digital, alternative process and studio photography at the high school, university and adult education levels. I had some reservations about having two photographers AND a videographer there, since I’d been to weddings that looked more like paparazzi shoots, but they managed to capture everything without blocking anyone’s view. And can we talk about the turnaround?? We got our entire gallery, PLUS all the video footage (a few montages and longer videos) within three weeks of the event, including mailing us a flash drive!
