CJ: I was born in the Philippines then moved to Las Vegas when I was 9. Hello culture shock! During down time, I love dancing with my kids and Justin, eating Justin’s food (; & going to the gym. My approach is to be as non-invasive and invisible as possible. The less you know I am there, the more reality I am able to capture. I do not want to be a director. I want to be an observer; a documentarian; most importantly, a story teller. Each moment in your life builds a story. That story deserves to be relived and passed on. i want to help you remember those moments, those details, those emotions that make up your life.

I have two dogs that know all the commands but do whatever they want to on a regular basis, and they are my couch buddies for nights when I settle in with a glass of wine and an episode of Friends! I’m a foster parent and I’ve been riding that rollercoaster since December of 2020. My life is never boring and I wouldn’t have it any other way.

I fell in love with the art of Photography about 7 years ago and have looked at everything through a viewfinder since. I can't go anywhere without mentally composing a photo or wondering what angle I could use to make something look more interesting. I started taking photos for friends and family and quickly fell in love with the concept of saving a moment forever, in a unique way only I could. The technology surrounding photo-taking has come so far that everyone has the ability to snap a picture with their smartphone just about wherever they're at; but to me, the value of high quality photography will never be outdated or lose it's value.

We are an experienced husband and wife photography team based in Minneapolis, MN, who have been photographing weddings since 2000. We are good at what we do, and easy going while we do it. Katrina is the organizer and people person. John is the quiet ninja that will photograph a moment before you even knew he was there. I have the most amazing memories from childhood of being cuddled up with my Granny going through old pictures. The joy and nostalgia that came from those old film photos where everything. My favorite part was always looking up at my Granny as she got lost in each individual memory, seeing her face shape shift in moments of grief over the past and then instant joy because she knew that she could relive that moment as long as she had those photos. Every time I pick up my camera I strive to create tangible moments that will last a lifetime.

As your storyteller, my promise is to capture your love with a naturalistic approach, creating timeless photos that evoke a sense of nostalgia. Your wedding or elopement day is full of emotions and I'll be right there to capture them all. I balance a fine line of guidance and direction for posed and spontaneous moments throughout the day.

Right after graduating from CSU Sacramento in 2012 (with a BA in Photography, might I add!), I did photography as a side-hustle while working a couple of various jobs: part-time as a Summer camp counselor and full-time at a medical device company. After getting married in 2016, I moved to Modesto with my husband since he was working there at the time. Because of the move, I had to leave my jobs in the East Bay. I took this move to the Central Valley as a sign that I should do photography full-time. So, since 2017, I've been a full-time wedding photographer. We are now in beautiful Sonoma County!

I love thrift stores, tropical plants, and horses. I live with a little tribe of wildmen- my husband, my two year old, and our cat who is probably part lion. I have a counseling degree and that has really formed me as a photographer. My film guy is my husband Zach, and we met in a library. He knows five different ways to brew coffee and can play six different instruments.

I am a lover of love and adventure. I am a pretty down person (I free dive with sharks so if that doesn't say something...) I moved to Hawaii in 4 hours notice and quit my corporate job to chase my dreams and here I am! I'm a bit of a minimalist like to think I'm pretty fun. I'm an ocean conservationist and use my skills to also educate people about human impacts and ways to make shifts in our own lives in order to help the planet. I am really big on quality over quantity. I would rather deliver a handful of WOW photos over a ton of average photos to fill a number.
