Wendy and Brandon Buckner started The Hot Chocolatier in 2008 inside the Tennessee Small Business Development Center located along the North Shore area of downtown Chattanooga. Upon moving back to their native hometown of Chattanooga, the couple wanted to introduce the area to experiences they had gathered from various cities where they had lived or visited while either attending school or traveling abroad.

I’m a songwriter, doubling as a cookie chef and am also a soon to be Mrs. ❤️ I specialize in custom wedding cookie bars, wedding favors, bach party cookies, cookie pinatas, cookie cake toppers and more. Laura Curtis, a Culinary Institute of America grad, was working as a R&D chef when she made her first batch of bright pink, tart & fruity Raspberry Hibiscus marshmallows. Her husband suggested she name the new amply fluffy creations Malvi, short for malvavisco, the Spanish word for marshmallow. She created Malvi Mallows using European-Style butter and Fair-Trade chocolate to make Malvi cookies extra rich, and dried hibiscus flowers, locally roasted espresso, whole vanilla bean, and organic Georgia peanuts to maximize marshmallow flavors, then built a business so that everyone can party s'more.
