Hey Y’all! My name is Rachel Frey, I am the owner of Dough Darling. I started my business in March of 2022 based in Central Florida. I have always had a passion for cooking and baking. I was always the “designated family chef” and hosted all of our gatherings. I decided to share my passion for baking with my community. My husband and I moved to Middle Tennessee in 2023, where I reopened and have been overwhelmed with love and support. I craft every dessert with love. Laura Curtis, a Culinary Institute of America grad, was working as a R&D chef when she made her first batch of bright pink, tart & fruity Raspberry Hibiscus marshmallows. Her husband suggested she name the new amply fluffy creations Malvi, short for malvavisco, the Spanish word for marshmallow. She created Malvi Mallows using European-Style butter and Fair-Trade chocolate to make Malvi cookies extra rich, and dried hibiscus flowers, locally roasted espresso, whole vanilla bean, and organic Georgia peanuts to maximize marshmallow flavors, then built a business so that everyone can party s'more.
