My passion is creating things for others to bring a smile to their face. So, it was second nature to start a business that would showcase the vision of ordinary people in an extraordinary way. I fell in love with photography and taking photos at a very young age. For as long as I can remember I have always been taking photos or had a camera in my hand. They never knew the wind was blowing over their back drop and we spent hours making sure it was perfect and still their vision. These are stresses I take care of as the bride and groom swoon over each other on the dance floor enjoying their loved ones. As I spend multiple days preparing the timeline and getting in contact with all of the vendors, my couple gets to enjoy date nights getting to fall in love even more.

Formerly members of rock and country cover bands, the musicians got together (Thank-you, Craigslist!) with the idea of creating something old but new, with no genre borders. The horse-apple bearing bodark (bois d'arc ) tree seemed an apt symbol for these transplants from the farm to the city. That twisted hardwood, still found growing wild in suburban medians with its massive green fruit, is a stubborn reminder of the old days when it was used to hedge in cattle.

I am obsessed with all things creative and travel. I am a die-hard fan of Jesus, movie nights, and the Sonic Drive-thru. I am currently living the broke college student living on a hill I call home at Dallas Baptist University. I am studying Communications and will graduate in December 2022. For 17 years now the award winning recipe for The Texas Gypsies sound is to perform the “Vintage Jazzy Swingin" cool hep cat sounds of the Great Gatsby era 1920's, plus a mix of the Big Band Swing sound of the 1930's and 40’s, add in a taste of its sister sound, Western Swing, sprinkle some Django style Gypsy Jazz over the top and finally finish up with a pinch of Retro Deco Rockin Roll! The band mixes passionate violin, a blazing horn section, rockin-swingin guitars, slappin upright bass, and retro style drumming to harmoniously create their own unique, classy and fun sound!
