Our vineyard and winery are located in Southold, NY. Previously a potato and melon farm, Claudia fell in love with the property across from her home and when it came up for sale in 2001 she did not want to see the farm developed. After closing her restaurant in western Nassau county she went forward with purchasing the property and selling the development rights to preserve it's beauty. Since then she's slowly hand planted and renovated the potato barns that existed on the property into her winery.
We call ourselves a southern table; a place to enjoy casual yet refined low & high country cuisine- where you're treated like family and can seek respite from the world in a relaxed, fun, and comfortable atmosphere. "The Table" is where so much occurs, from celebrations to business deals. We eat, drink, and break bread at the table. We share stories of laughter and tears. We toast to yesterday, today, and to the future - all at the table. A place where we come together after a long day or week and spend time with each other to connect.

Yes. Garden City and Huntington are two excellent neighborhoods for rustic venues, each with distinct appeal.

Long Island has several top-rated rustic venues that consistently earn praise from couples.
Earthplace is rated 5.0/5 and celebrated for being both stunning and budget-conscious. A past couple noted it was "perfect for our 145-person ceremony" and appreciated its unique character and value.
The Barn at Old Bethpage Village Restoration, also rated 5.0/5, offers authentic historical charm with a fully restored barn setting that transports guests back in time—perfect if you're drawn to Long Island's rich heritage.
North Fork Meadows, starting at $20,000, provides a luxe rustic experience in North Fork's pastoral countryside. One couple raved about hosting their July wedding on "this gorgeous property," capturing the region's natural splendor.
All three venues are based on Zola marketplace data and reflect genuine guest experiences.
Most Long Island rustic venues include essential infrastructure—tables, chairs, basic lighting, and often a bar setup or prep kitchen. Many properties, especially those in the Hamptons and North Fork, feature built-in charm like wood beams, natural landscaping, and scenic backdrops that minimize décor needs.
Be prepared to rent items not included in the venue fee: linens, dance floors, uplighting, heaters or tents for unpredictable spring and fall weather, and possibly sound equipment. Long Island's coastal climate means wind and occasional rain are real considerations, so outdoor spaces often require weather contingencies.
Decor flexibility varies by venue. Historic properties like those in Garden City may have stricter guidelines to preserve character, while countryside venues near Oyster Bay typically allow more creative freedom. Rustic venues generally embrace natural elements—string lights, greenery, and neutral tones—so your décor costs can stay moderate.
Always clarify what's included in your starting price: some venues are all-inclusive, while others charge separately for tables, setup, breakdown, and staffing.
Most rustic venues come with basic structural décor already built into the space—think exposed wood beams, stone fireplaces, or vintage architectural details that serve as your backdrop. What's included varies widely by venue, so it's important to ask specifically about:
- Tables, chairs, and linens
- Lighting (string lights, chandeliers, or uplighting)
- Bar setup and serving stations
- Kitchen and prep areas
Many rustic venues encourage customization because their natural aesthetic is already charming. You can typically add florals, centerpieces, signage, and personal touches without heavy restrictions. According to Zola marketplace data, rustic venues have a median starting price of $4,100 across the US, which is slightly lower than the overall venue average—often because the venue's inherent character reduces the need for extensive built-in décor.
Always confirm what's included in your rental fee versus what requires outside vendors or additional costs. Some venues offer package deals that bundle linens and basic lighting, while others charge à la carte. This clarity upfront helps you budget accurately for your customization plans.
Long Island is a highly sought-after wedding destination, especially for spring and summer celebrations. Most couples should aim to book their venue 12–18 months in advance, particularly if you're planning a peak-season wedding (May through October). Popular neighborhoods like the Hamptons and Huntington book up quickly during these months, and top venues often have limited availability.
If you're flexible with your date or planning an off-season wedding (November through April), you may find availability with 6–9 months' notice. However, booking early also gives you better selection and often allows time to lock in your preferred date before prices adjust. Start your venue search at least 12 months out to secure your top choices.
Long Island offers several distinct neighborhoods, each with unique appeal for weddings:
- The Hamptons — Known for upscale, sophisticated venues with proximity to the Atlantic shoreline; ideal for elegant, seaside celebrations
- North Fork — A picturesque wine country region offering vineyard settings and a more intimate, rural atmosphere
- Garden City — Centrally located with easy access for guests; features refined, established venues
- Huntington — A charming waterfront area along Long Island Sound with historic character and scenic backdrops
- Oyster Bay — Waterfront charm with classic Long Island appeal, great for both casual and formal events
Each area offers different aesthetics and guest experiences, so consider your wedding style and guest logistics when choosing your neighborhood.
