Note that if you're staying in White Plains, this is more city-like than some of the rural towns nearby along the Hudson River (eg, it's not as 'scenic'). We recommend renting a car so you can drive around and not feel stuck. A few adorable towns to check out include Pleasantville, Rye, Tarrytown, Irvington, Briarcliff, and Chappaqua. We noted some places to grab coffee/breakfast/lunch/dinner below. Have fun exploring! There's so much to see and do.
Our wedding venue has the most beautiful grounds, open to anyone all day. I highly recommend going for a walk here if you have the time. There's also a cafe on-site that offers a delicious, organic lunch + fantastic coffee. Parking is available on the grounds. Don't be intimidated by the long road to the entrance. Just go for it!
If you were to have one epic dinner during your time in the Hudson River Valley, this is a top contender. It's a bit upscale with incredible food. I would describe it as farm-to-table Chinese food. You'll need a reservation! They are on Resy.
This is a reeeeally great deli, market, and coffee shop. Get the Cherry Lawn wrap!
A large brewery with plenty of outdoor space. Nice if you're gathering as a group!
I've been going here since I was a kid. It's a 24-hour deli that's cash-only and only does to-go orders. Take your sandwiches to Gedney Park nearby.
Unassuming as it is in the train station parking lot, they have good breakfast sandwiches and coffee.
This is a delicious bakery/deli/coffee shop in my hometown, Chappaqua (not far from Briarcliff). Chappaqua is a really cute town - great for walking around / exploring little shops.
