Located in the heart of Traverse City, Hamilton Place offers beautiful accommodations and a spacious outdoor gathering area perfect for relaxing and spending time with family and friends throughout the wedding weekend. Many of our guests will be staying here, making it a great place to connect and celebrate. Reservations can be made directly through the Hamilton Place website or through Airbnb. We recommend booking early, as Traverse City is a popular summer destination and rooms may fill quickly.

We’ve reserved a room block at the Tru by Hilton Traverse City for our wedding weekend from June 16–20, 2027. Conveniently located just minutes from downtown Traverse City and the lakefront—and less than an hour from Cadillac—this hotel offers easy access to restaurants, wineries, shopping, and all the charm the area has to offer. We chose this location so your stay can feel like a fun and relaxing getaway—not just a quick trip. Traverse City holds such a special place in our hearts—with Jeff’s roots here and so many memories made along the lake, it felt like the perfect place to celebrate this next chapter with all of you. Traverse City is a popular summer destination with an endless array of hotels, resorts, and short-term rental options to choose from. We encourage guests to book accommodations early, as summer weekends tend to fill up quickly. Whether you’d prefer to stay downtown, along the waterfront, or in a cozy nearby rental, there are plenty of great options throughout the area to fit a range of styles and budgets.
Flight
The closest airport is Cherry Capital Airport, located right in Traverse City. For additional flight options, you may also consider Gerald R. Ford International Airport (2.5-hour drive) or Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport (4-hour drive). We strongly recommend flying into Cherry Capital Airport (TVC) in Traverse City. The airport is located approximately 35 miles (about a 45–50 minute drive) from our reception venue in Cadillac, Michigan, and is also just a short drive from our recommended hotel locations and downtown Traverse City.
Travel Note
We recommend having a car for the weekend so you can fully enjoy and explore all that Northern Michigan has to offer. Rideshare services like Uber and Lyft can be limited and inconsistent in the Traverse City and Northern Michigan area, especially outside peak summer weekends.
