Vail is super walkable in the fall and there is also a free in-town bus that will bring you where you want to go! The in-town bus normally operates from 6:30am to 1:30am every day. https://www.vailgov.com/government/departments/transportation-services/bus-information/bus-schedules
Before traveling to Vail, be sure you drink extra water, get enough sleep and increase your caloric intake. Water is the number one way to help your body adjust to the high and dry air. As you gain altitude, your body tends to lose water faster than you’re used to so it's important to drink twice the amount of water you normally would while you are here. Electrolytes are your friend!
The temperatures get chilly in the evenings so please make sure to bring a warm layer for once the sun goes down. During the day, temperatures are usually comfortable, however there is always a chance of snow! Historical average for Vail in October is a high of 61, low of 20.
We ask that you wear black tie optional attire to the ceremony and reception. Women - midi or long dresses, men in suits or optional tuxes.
