Yes! We have a shuttle. There will be one shuttle that will leave the Island Resort and Casino at 2:30pm. Please be at the Entrance to the Casino by 2:15pm. The Bus only seats 40 people. There will be two options for a return bus, one at 11:00pm and one at 12:00am in case you cannot drive home. These also will have 40 spots on each bus. There are 120 parking spots at the wedding site. We highly encourage guests to car pool. You are allowed to leave your car at the venue over night, however it needs to be picked up no later than 10:00am EST the next day. After that time, we no longer have the venue and we cannot ensure that your car will not get towed.
The Upper Peninsula in the summer has beautiful weather! Although we cannot predict the weather the average high for the month of July is 81 degrees and the average low is 55 degrees! Since our wedding is indoor outdoor please plan accordingly with your dress for the occasion.
We’re planning a colorful, joyful celebration, and we’d love for your outfits to reflect that! Think garden party meets summer celebration—vibrant colors, playful prints, and lightweight fabrics are encouraged. Ladies: Feel free to wear anything from an elegant mini to a breezy midi or a flowy floor-length dress. Just please avoid white—leave that for the bride! Gentlemen: Dress pants with a button-down or lightweight shirt are perfect. Jackets are optional, and breathable fabrics are encouraged to stay cool and comfortable. Our ceremony and reception will take place on a farm in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula in July. While it could be warm, especially inside the barn (which has no A/C), we’ll be making the most of the beautiful indoor and outdoor spaces, weather permitting. Consider comfortable shoes for grassy or uneven ground. We can’t wait to see you in your colorful best!
We’re so excited to celebrate this special day surrounded by our closest family and friends. Due to venue capacity, we’re only able to accommodate the guests listed on each invitation. If your invite includes a plus one, they’re more than welcome to join. If not, we hope you’ll still come ready to celebrate with lots of love, laughter, and family by your side. Thank you for understanding—we’re so grateful to have you with us! Thank you for being apart of this journey for us.
We love your little ones! However, we’ve decided to keep our wedding an adults-only celebration. Due to space and planning considerations, we kindly ask that only the names listed on your invitation attend. We hope this gives everyone a chance to relax, let loose, and enjoy the evening with us. Thank you so much for understanding—we truly appreciate your support!
Yes—get ready to raise a glass (or two)! We’ll have an open bar available throughout the evening. We want the night to feel like a true celebration—full of laughter, dancing, and good drinks. So come ready to party with us!
Yes! We kindly ask you to turn off your cellphones and cameras and be present in this moment with us. We have hired a professional photographer to capture all of the special moments planned and unplanned. During the reception you can snap as many photos as you want! And we would love if you shared them with us. However, during the ceremony we ask that no phones be taken out. Even for a quick photo.
The Ceremony and Reception will be taking place at a barn and in grass. Please wear shoes that are conducive to that environment.
We strongly suggest the Island Resort and Casino. It is the closest accommodation to the venue, and it provides lots of fun during your stay there. The has 2 golf courses, plenty of restaurant choices, a pool and spa, as well as gambling.
We will be having BBQ the night of the wedding. It will be served buffet style and we will have lots of options for different dietary needs. However, if you truly feel you have an allergy that might need to be addressed please feel free to let us know.
