Tell me about the wedding & venue!

We'll be getting married at Piedmont Park, a public park in a little town surrounded by Oakland on all sides. We'll have a private space under the redwoods for the ceremony, and spaces for dinner, drinks, dancing outdoors and in the community hall. Come early and explore! Our space is in a park that we love -- we wandered through it together on our first date and have been back a million times since then. Come explore the trails behind the venue and then join us under the redwoods for the ceremony and party to follow.

How do I get to the venue?

Answer

Piedmont park is technically in Piedmont but it is super accessible from Oakland - we can walk there from our home. There should be decent street parking near the venue, and for out of town guests, it is very easily accessible via Lyft/Uber, no need to rent a car.

Are kids welcome?

Answer

While we love your children, our wedding will be an adults-only event so that we can focus on each other on this special day for those we love. The only children present will be our nieces and nephews, who have a special role in the ceremony. We’re grateful for your understanding and can’t wait to celebrate with you! Kids are welcome to join at Drakes on friday night, and for bagels and coffees at lake temescal on sunday morning.

Is there parking at the wedding?

Answer

While we encourage folks to use lyft or uber to get to / from the venue, there is also a small parking lot and street parking. The venue is at a public park, so parking will be available on a first come, first serve basis.
