China Wall Hike
This is BY FAR the most unique and incredible hike in the area! Zack and I have done this is in all seasons and can't get enough of the artwork and views. A flat out and back, it's more like a walk than a hike and easy to do in a couple of hours. Extremely close to Sugar Bowl and HIGHLY recommended!
Picnic Rock Viewpoint Hike
Short and steep, with some of the best views of Lake Tahoe in the area! You are hiking up, but trust us it is worth it --three miles total. A little further of a drive (about 30 minutes from Sugar Bowl). Squeeze this in Friday before the festivities start or Saturday morning! The trailhead for Picnic Rock Viewpoint is located on Highway 267 between Truckee and Kings Beach in North Lake Tahoe.
